A/N: See I told you guys I wouldn't take long to update! This one might be shorter than the rest, only because I wanted to jot my thoughts down. It might be a bit different from the usual chapters, but please don't let that judge for the future chapters, cause they won't all be like this. Anyways, enjoy!

Oh, and a special shout out to xoxochelsea! Thank you for your constant support and stream of comments! :D

She stared.

He stared.

They all stared.

The tension was so thick that you wouldn’t be able to cut it with a knife. Jaylynn thought she heard Jaxison cough, but other than that it was absolute silence as Cannon and the pack stared at Jaylynn.

That’s what they were, a pack -not best friends like regular people- but a pack. Pack of wolfs. They turned into giant wolfs.

Wolves, wolves, wolves, the word repeating itself in her head like a mantra.

Jaylynn blinked, and the pack leaned forward towards her taking that blink as a sign that she was going to start talking.

She didn’t.

They all retreated and waited for her patiently (not really) to respond to what she’s seen.

“For gods sake, will you just say something!?” Jaxison huffed, uncrossing his arms and rolling his eyes.

“I’m hungry, and you’re keeping me from food.” The pack and Jaylynn all glared at him, but secretly they were relieved that he was able to break the silence.

“So..” Jaylynn drawled out the syllable, turning her attention back to Cannon. He stared back at her, his eyes hopeful but afraid. He was nervous. He didn’t want her to find out this way, and he was terrified on how she was going to handle him being wolf. So far she seemed to be doing ok, didn’t run away screaming so Cannon considered that a plus.

“You’re a werewolf.” Jaylynn stated slowly. Cannon sighed and nodded his head exchanging glances with the rest of the pack.

“We prefer the term ‘shap shifters.’” Jaxison smirked.

Jaylynn looked up at him glowering. Jaxison grinned cheekily and Jaylynn just rolled her eyes. She looked over at Vin, noticing how he was staring at her with a mixture of concern and worry. He was concerned for her because he knew this wasn’t easy thing to find out about her boyfriend, but he was also worried for the safety of the pack.

He didn’t want her to blab her mouth Jaylynn realized. She mentally snorted at that, it’s not like she had anyone to tell.

“You’re the Alpha, right?” Jaylynn asked Vin even though she was pretty sure of the answer. No way could this man have a presence of authority and not be the Alpha. Now that Jaylynn knows the truth, she was surprised she didn’t figure it out sooner. The growling, the howling she heard in the middle of the night, the way they all seemed to move in sync and the shaking when they were angry. All the signs were there, she was just too stupid to piece them together.

“Well, that’s cool.”

Cannon’s mouth dropped down in disbelief and he’s pretty sure Luben fell off his chair if the thump he heard was anything to go by. The pack all stared at her in surprise, cool? She thought it was cool? Not scary? Cannon’s wolf purred approvingly, the fact that she won’t fight him was enough for his wolf.
