Pineapple was tired. It had been four days sine the ship. It was the middle of the night and Pineapple sat watching the two hostages sleep. He hadn't slept in a while because he feared the men would kill him and his dogs. He had drifted off here and there but hadn't gotten a full night of sleep since that first night. Pineapple walked up to the main deck and grabbed the box of wine. He was surprised that the box had survived the climb from the ship. Pineapple wasn't drinker though. He stared at the bottles of thick red wine. He saw his reflection in the glass bottles. He heard shaking below deck and rushed down. "Hey asshole! I have to piss. Untie me." Pineapple looked at the man angrily. He walked over to him and punched him. "LET ME PISS!" Pineapple tied his hands and brought him to the top.
He let him do his business over the edge of the ship. He was at the front of the ship looking out at the gray night. Then he heard the man running. When he turned around, the man slammed his head against the side of the ship and he was knocked out for a few minutes. He looked around with blurry vision and saw no one. "Where are you?!" Pineapple yelled. The man took his hatchet too. He heard the dog barking in the back and he clumsily climbed to his feet and walked to the back. The man had the ax in his hand and was rifling through his stuff. "Shut up, mutt!" Said the man as he smacked Lincoln's face. This enraged Pineapple and he ran over and punched the man. The man fell against the back wall and swung his ax, slicing open Pineapple's leg and blood spilled. Pineapple yelled in anger and slammed the man's face into the scratched wooden floor. By this point, the other hostage woke up from the noise. The man charged Pineapple and pushed him onto the main deck then grabbed the hatchet. He tried to slice open Pineapple's throat but Pineapple kicked the ax out of his hand. Pineapple was growing angrier and angrier. Then he punched the man. Pineapple picked up the ax and slammed it into his chest. The man let out a cry and spit blood out of his mouth.
Pineapple winced and suddenly felt a headache coming on. He fell to the ground as blood puddled under the man. He felt sick and dropped the ax. He looked at the crying bleeding man. Pineapple stared with blank eyes in the darkness as a tear left his eye and fell into the wooden crack. The man had raspy breathing and was crying and coughing up blood. Pineapple sat up against the wooden wall with blood covered hands. He shook and had a deeply saddened look on his face. Tears softly left his eyes as he listened to the man's cries of agony. "Why did it have to be me? WHY!? WHY!?" cried the man. Pineapple looked at him in sorrow as the man pleaded his life. "I'm sorry for everything. FORGIVE ME! FORGIVE ME!" The man's crying became more intense and his coughing became worse just as the wound became worse. Pineapple walked over to him and leaned him against the wall opposite him. The man groaned as his wound get worse. "just" cough "just kill m-me... please" pleaded the man. Pineapple looked at him with glossy eyes. "Why'd you do this to me?" Asked Pineapple. "You're a butcher you-you" cough "you're a killer and so am I... so finish the deed."
"No." said Pineapple sternly. I'm going to fix you. Pineapple stood up and walked to the back to get some supplies. He grabbed gauze, a needle, and a thread. The man groaned. "Fuck you. Just-just kill me... I don't want more p-pain." Pineapple drew the needle and hooked the thread as the ship shook on the gloomy night seas. He slid the thread through the man's wound and pulled it attempting to create a stitch. The man harshly squinted in pain. He attempted to lift a hand to stop Pineapple from continuing but he couldn't summon the strength to do so. Pineapple stitched him up with shaking hands. As Pineapple was putting in the last stitch, blood started streaming out of the cut. Pineapple reached for some gauze, but there was none.
Pineapple to get some more gauze to stop the bleeding. He found two small pieces. Pineapple charged out to the man and quickly ended the bleeding. Then he looked at the man. "Hey! Are you with me." Pineapple rose a trembling hand to check his pulse and felt cold skin. No pulse. He was dead. Pineapple gulped and blinked at the sight of the dead man. Pineapple walked downstairs to grab a sack to put the man in. He wanted to give him a burial at sea. The kid was awake. "H-hi, sir." Pineapple looked at the boy angrily. "Give me some help." He said. "How do I help you, if I'm tied up?" Asked the boy. "I'll untie you." Pineapple thought the boy was quite stupid and lacked common sense. Pineapple slashed the rope with a dagger and the kid was free. Pineapple asked the boy to bring up a bag. Pineapple cleaned up the blood off of the body and moved the body in the bag. "What was his name?"asked Pineapple. "Steve, he was a real jerk and he killed a lot of people. My dad didn't like him." Pineapple wrote "Steve" in ink on the bag.
"What's your name son?" Questioned Pineapple. "Andrew, Andrew Mulkeen." He responded. "Hmmm, where are you from?"Asked Pineapple. "I'm from uh... The White Forest of Dayran and uh... You're bleeding I think." Said Andrew. Pineapple looked down and said "We'll worry about that later." They then tied the bag after the ink dried and they dropped it into the ocean. They watched as the bag disappeared into the watery abyss.
"STATE YOUR NAME AND WHERE YOU ARE FROM!" Boomed a voice from behind them. They turned to see a bright light from a light house. In front were two soldiers clad in shiny metal armor. "Andrew, we're home." Pineapple smiled.
