Thank you to the people who have read my story and voted. I know it's not very far along, and not that great, but it means a ton to me. Thank you so much!
"And that's how I plan to get Ben. Amazing plan, right?" My sister asked me on the ride to school.
"Sure" I mumbled. I hadn't even heard what she said. Zoning out my sister when she starts talking about herself, which happens a lot, has become one of my greater talents. She hardly ever realizes that I hadn't heard a word she said because she's to busy going on to the next thing about herself.
"I know, but just help me with step four, okay? You still owe me for the party." Still owe her? Fine. Wait, what was step four? I think I may have heard the word date, but how was I supposed to help with that?
"What's with the confused look? It's not that complicated." She asked me. Then before I could answer, she must have realized what had just happened.
"Well I'm not going to reexplain each step because someone doesn't know how to listen" and then started to pout.
"Well I guess I can't help you then." I quickly retorted back. She sneered at me, gave it a minute, and decided to tell me.
"I'll go over it quickly again. Step one, fall into him and make it seem like an accident. Step two, get close with one of his friends, just so we can hang out a little bit and get to know each other. Step three, flirt when his friend's not around." I opened my mouth to tell her how bad it would be to use one of his friends, but she held up a hand to silence me.
"I'll let his friend know what I'm doing, okay? It's my plan anyways, not yours."
"Fine, go on."
"Where was I? Oh yeah, Step four, this is where you come in. I have to make him jealous, so I need Brody's help. Just tell Brody to come and talk to me. Then Step five, where he asks me out on a date, but I reject. Step six, I get hurt over something, like our dog died, and I go to him for comfort."
"You know we don't have a dog, right?" This plan was a little weird.
"Of course I know that you idiot. I just need him to feel bad for me." She said, with a look of disgust, and continued on with the plan.
"Then step six, the last and final step. While he's comforting me I'll tell him how I really feel and that I was just scared. And the rest is history." She finished, looking off like she was dreaming about it happening.
Whatever, I really didn't care about her little plan. I just didn't want Brody getting hurt.
"Why Brody? How is he going to help you?" I questioned my sister. Brody was one of my only friends. He wasn't bad looking, actually one of the better looking guys in our school. The only reason we became friends was because we happened to be lab partners in chemistry one year.
"Just trust me. Oh, we're here!" And she hopped out of the car, completely forgetting I was in there.
I got out and started walking in when Clara came up to me. Clara's definitely my best friend. She's one of the few that get me. We agree on almost everything, well accept on Harry Potter. I just can't begin to understand how she can't like Harry Potter.
You would think as junior's we might get some respect from the freshman and sophomores, but no. As we walked and I told her about Kelsey's plan, some little freshman on a skateboard nearly knocked us over. He didn't even apologize, just kept ridding like it never happened.
"Hey kid! Watch where your going next time!" I heard a load voice come from behind us. I turned to see Brody standing there.
"Thanks Brody" Came from a squeaky voice beside me. Clara has had a crush on Brody since she first saw him. I don't know why she doesn't just tell him, they would be the cutest couple.
"It's no problem. How was your weekend?"
Clara looked like she was about to have a panic attack. I know why though, if she wanted to answer that question truthfully it would have to go like this-
"Well, first I watched a ton of cheesy romantic comedies, imaging that was me and you. Then I read a love story, which I of coursed imagined was me and you again. And then I studied. Imagining you were there with me again."
So before anything like that came out, I stepped in.
"Mine was good, thanks for asking. Actually, I have a favor for you. My sister has some wild dream of dating Ben Williams, and needs your help. Something about making him jealous. Can you go talk to her sometime today so I don't get killed for not talking to you about it?" I asked him quickly, hoping for a simple yes with no questions.
"Umm, sure..I guess." he answered, looking a little confused. He turned back to Clara, who was staring at him like he was an angel. Jeez, if she was going to make it so obvious, there was no need in telling him how she felt, he was just going to figure it out.
"Well, I'm going to go to class." I said as the first bell rang.
As I took my first step, I felt my face go right into someone's chest.
"Jesus, watch where your going next time." came from a deep voice. I quickly backed away and looked at who I had run into to. He had brown hair with deep blue eyes. His shirt hung to his muscular chest perfectly, and how he looked in his leather jacket didn't help my gawking at him. Then I realized who it was.
I had just run into Ben Williams.
