I gulped as I took the last step to get inside. The feeling of excitement had completely vanished and I felt like running to the nearest ice cream shop and hiding there for the rest of the night.
"Come on Roberts, it'll be fun. I promise." Trent said as he pulled me by the arm through the door.
At only 7:30, people we're still arriving and there wasn't much happening. Trent brought me into the kitchen and got us a few drinks. I quietly sipped on my drink, while I watched everyone come and go from a bench in the kitchen. Trent had gone to see some friends, and I told him I would be fine alone for a while.
Now, at 9ish, I didn't think I would be alone this long. The party had gone from normal and sane, to complete chaos it just ten minutes. Three big drunk guys came barging into the kitchen, where they tried to pick up a few girls munching on snacks. The guys got totally rejected and I couldn't help but laugh. One of the guys glared at me, causing me to jump out of my seat and run to the nearest exist before I got hurt. I went into the living room, where there was a huge group of people dancing in the middle, and others just hanging out on the outside.
I walked around to the other side, and saw Trent trying to escape from my sister's grasp.
"Come on, just bring me to talk to him. It'll take two seconds!" my sister begged Trent, who shrugged her off.
"Sorry I left for so long, things got a little crazy out here" he said, turning to me.
"It's part of the plan. Please!" Kelsey yelled from behind.
"It's fine, you can go help Kelsey quick. I don't mind." I told Trent. Anything to keep my sister from getting pissed at me for this.
He turned to Kelsey, who was giving him the puppy dog eyes and lip pout, and sighed. He waved bye to me and followed Kelsey up the stairs. I decided to go back to the kitchen and get another drink, since I saw those three guys now trying to take a sled down the stairs.
I went back out to the living room, when someone pulled my arm to the dance floor. I tried getting away, but the big mob of drunk people seemed to suck me in. I gave in and started to dance. It was actually pretty fun, until I felt a pair of hands go to my waist.
"Hey perv, get off me." I yelled back to him.
"No chance sweetheart, besides, you got a nice ass." he said into my ear, tightening his grip. I turned around and pushed myself away from him. I tried pushing out of the crowd, but instead got pushed to the ground. I crawled the rest of the way out and headed to go find Trent.
"Come on baby, I'm just trying to have some fun!" I heard, and turned to see the guy following me up the stairs. I ran up them, almost tripping because of my heels, and headed down the hallway. I could hear the guy still following me, so I pushed open a door and shut it before he could get in.
I wasn't strong enough to hold it shut against him though, so he pushed it open and toppled right on to me.
"So you like it this way instead?" he said, with a creepy grin.
"No, I don't" I grumbled, trying to push him off me. I tried grabbing and moving his arms, but that didn't affect him one bit. So I dug my nails into him, causing him to yell, "Bitch!" and put his hold on me even tighter. I pulled my knees up to my chest and tried to push him off, but ended up with him slapping me in the face instead. That was going to hurt like a bitch in the morning. He moved his face down to my chest, and started kissing my neck. So I did the only logically thing to do, I kicked him in the nuts.
"Shit!" he yelled, finally pulling away from me. He was now on the ground in a fetal position holding his balls. I quickly got up and ran out.
I ran down the hall and turned down another one. I tried all the doors, but they were locked. One was open, thank god. I ran in and quickly shut the door behind me. I put my back against the wall, listening for the guy chasing after me again. I didn't hear him, so I slid down and put my head on my knees.
That's when the tears came. No Ana, you don't want to look like you've been crying, I told myself. I brought my hand to my arm, which still had an imprint from his hold one me. Then I touched my cheek, but cringed at the pain.
"Are you okay?" I heard come from inside the dark room. I hadn't realized anyone was in here.
"Oh..I'm so sorry. I didn't know anyone was in here. I'm sorry...I'll just leave." I said, standing up and turning to the door.
"Don't leave. It's fine, I just want to know if your okay." he asked, his voice deep and raspy. He moved and turned on a light switch. I hid my face by facing the door, trying not to let him see me crying. Plus, I didn't need another person coming after me. I put my hand on the door knob, ready to run if he made one move at me.
"Wow, your going to have a nasty bruise there." He said. I had no clue who this was, since I still wouldn't look at him. I didn't respond, just nodded my head.
"Your a quiet one, eh? Well obviously something happened. I'm not going to hurt you, I promise. Let me just look at your arm."
I contemplated turning around and showing him, but shook my head instead. I didn't need for him to see who I was, especially when I was tear-stained and covered in snot. He would probably just make fun of me.
"Come on, Just one look." he said, in a quiet, gentle voice. He sounded like he actually cared. So I turned around, but didn't face him. I kept my eyes on my shoes the whole time. He brought his hand up to my arm, but quickly moved it away when I winced at the pain.
"And you got one on your face? Let me see." and he brought his hand to my face. This time I didn't jump from pain, so he moved his thumb across my cheek.
"Who did this to you?" he whispered. When I didn't answer, he tried again. "Who? I can't help you if you don't tell me who."
"I don't..I..I..I don't know who." I whispered, trying to hold back the tears forming in my eyes.
He put his free hand around my neck, lifting my face up to his. His touch was so gentle that I didn't try to stop it. When I looked up I could see the concern in his eyes. He really cared. What shocked me even more, was who was holding me.
