The bell to signal class was over snapped me out of my empty day dream.

I stacked all my stuff on my desk and scooped it up in my hands. Groaning at the thought of lunch being next on my schedule, maybe I could just not eat? My stomach growled telling me that wasn’t going to fly, I was going to have to suffer another day of pretending not to want to punch Noel in the face. Ever since the party a week ago when I, oh so stupidly decided to try and get to Walker by making him jealous of Noel, it worked until we got back to school and Noel was obviously mislead thinking I suddenly liked him.

Like his ‘charming ways’ had worked on me? Psh, over my dead body. He was plain out nasty. Sure maybe he came from a well respected family, but there was nothing respectable about him that’s for sure. He makes my skin crawl. Ugh.

Moving on, right when I was about to put him in his place, Walker walked in, to make it even better, Walker walked in with Rashy Emily.

Of all people.

I couldn’t let Walker and Emily see that I had no interest in Noel. Then it would give me a weakness. I do not have weaknesses. So, I wrapped my arms around him and acted like he was the least repulsive person in the world. Let me tell you. It was extremely difficult.

So now I was walking to my locker to put my books up, trying to stall going to the lunch room on account of I was dreading having to pretend to not find Noel disgusting.  So when I reached my locker, I expertly opening it inwardly happy dancing because I had finally gotten my locker combination right on the first try.

High five!

I pushed my books in, and grabbed my wallet. Slamming the door closed, I turned only to see Walker slamming a little freshman girl into the locker as he kissed her. Gross! Clearing my throat with a scowl plastered on my face I walked past them, seeing them jolt apart out of the corner of my eye didn’t even look back. What kind of pig is he?

I walked straight to the lunch room, not wanting to talk to anyone, I just wanted to go to the Chick-Fil- A booth and not think about anything but my food. I was so tired of all of this pretending. I mean with Noel, I lied to everyone but Alex saying we were perfect together and how much I liked him, and with Walker, I pretended not to be bothered that somebody I grew up with was now dating my arch enemy.

I got my food and practically stomped over to Alex.

“Well then, somebody’s not happy.” She said and stabbed her salad.

I internally wondered if she was talking about me or herself with the way she butchered her salad.

“Yeah, just- I just saw something in the hallways I didn’t need to see. What about you? Did that salad step out of line?” I said trying to lighting the mood.

She gave a dry laugh, not looking up, then her eyes shot towards the table we had sat at the day of the party, Walker and Joshua’s table. Sitting there was the ‘it’ girl, well the ‘it’ girl of the preppy horse ridding people. She always perfectly done up, and perfectly modest. She was always perfect, and she was sitting with my brother, laughing up a storm, with her hand on his shoulder. Her hair seemed to move in slow motion and she practically glowed just looking at him. She looked like a model, her name you ask? Jessica Kale, and if looks could kill Alex would have just slaughtered her. Hiding jealousy wasn’t her thing, and she was radiating it.

“Alex? Calm down I’m sure Josh isn’t even interested in Jessica.” I said trying to sound hopeful, truthfull she wasn’t really Josh’s type, but who could really do anything about what he wanted right now. Josh is kind of oblivious that Alex has been crushing on him basically since she laid eyes on him. I’m a bit freaked out I mean, sure he’s handsome, but ew. He’s my brother, who wouldn’t be freaked if their best friend since they were three had a major crush on their brother. Even though I’m kind of used to it by now. I mean it’s been since I was three.

I was pulled out of my thoughts about my friend and brother when I saw Walker sit down at the table with my brother and pull the little freshman girl that he was making out with in the hallway onto his lap. That repulsive. Extremely repulsive. I felt my blood begin to boil as I looked over and saw Alex stabbing her salad.

“How about we get out of here?” I asked hoping she would say yes, she was jealous I was jealous, we both need some air.

“Yeah that’d be nice.” She stood up quickly nodding her head quickly as I followed her lead over to the trash can and we threw away our food and hurried out of the lunch room.

“Gosh he’s such a jerk!” I yelled as we got into the hallway slamming my back into the wall and pulling my knees up to my chest.

“So is Josh, I mean how absent minded can he be, no offence or anything.” She said assuming the same position as me.

“Yeah, he is, want to talk about it?” I looked over at her, with concern filling my eyes. I mean I didn’t even like Walker, I was just repulsed by him, she on the other hand had liked Josh for years and he never gave her any attention.

“He just, he just doesn’t understand I-“ She looked at me tears coming in her eyes “He doesn’t understand that I’m in with love him, Logan.” A tear fell from her eye as she spoke and I gapped at her.

Loved? I started to ask her if she was getting ahead of herself, but decided that would be a poor idea. On account of, you know she’s kind of crying. Shutting my mouth quickly, I pulled her into a hug. That must suck.

“You go cleaned up.” I rubbed her back, giving it a light pat.

She nodded, standing up and walking into the bathroom that was a little ways down the hall.

The lunch room doors burst open revealing that little freshman girl giggling and pulling Walker by the wrist. She kept looking back at him as I watch in slow motion. He tugged on his arm, a smirk coating his face, causing her front to collide with his. He slowly started taking steps forward as she giggled. I was watching, disgusted at what I was seeing. She giggled more as she pushed him against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway, and he started pushing her so her back was coming towards my. They stopped momentarily in the middle of the hallway and I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Get a room.” I growled storming into the bathroom that Alex was in.

~Author’s Note~

So I’m sorry, I’ve been failing you guys. I hope you can still love me.

So I changed the title and the cover and then I moved it to Humor, and out of Teen Fiction, it would really help if you could tell me if I need to come out of Chicklit and go to Teen Fiction? Let’s look at the moves I’ve made, I’m obviously indecisive…

Romance and Chicklit, Chicklit and Teen Fiction, Chicklit and Humor. So should I change it to Teen Fiction and Humor?

Who knows? If you do leave it in the comments or even inbox me!

What do you think about the new stuff anyways?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
