Violet.Mind still buzzing from my conversation with Dean Ambrose, I made my way down the hallway, and towards the Diva's locker room, deciding that the next person i'd like to see, is none other than my best friend, AJ Lee.
AJ Lee and John Cena were my first two friends when I came into the WWE, getting moved up from NXT in a very short amount of time last year...I didn't really have the chance to meet many people down there, and then I got shoved up here, and was very shy, and all the divas up here knew what they were doing and acted like they were kind of above me here...AJ approached me on my first day here, apologized for her co-workers 'rudeness', introduced herself, and we've been friends ever since.
She was never like any of the other divas, just like I wasn't like any of them, and boy was I damn proud of that. Well, to be fair Nikki and Brie aren't as bad as everyone had made them out to be, yes they can be dramatic at times, but they were also two of the sweetest girls in the world and happened to be two of my closest friends now. Regardless though, it had taken them a little while to warm up to me, and had also taken me awhile to talk to them as well...And during that whole time, AJ never stopped being an amazing friend to me. I couldn't freaking wait to see her.
I had finally found the Diva's locker room, and heard voices in there, knowing that Raw started in a little under a hour, it was probably best to assume, most of the WWE Divas and Superstars were already here. I pushed open the door that was partially cracked, and found Rosa Mendes, Tamina, Natayla, Cameron and my best friend herself, AJ, sitting down on the various chairs in the locker room, making small conversation. No one had noticed me come in, and I just walked over to the space with my name on it...Still, no one noticing me...These girls, I swear.
"And then I was like 'are you kidding me?! You're ALWAYS with those two. I swear, you're like glued at the hip.' And then Nikki went 'Well it's not our fault our men want to spend time with us and yours doesn't'...And I almost flipped, Cam...I swear." I rolled my eyes, typical.
"Well, I do agree with you that they're always with them, but girl...They're in love! Can you blame them for wanted to be with the guys all the time?!"
"Yes, I can...Because you should NEVER neglect your friends for a boy...You agree with me, right Violet?" Natayla asked me, finally just realizing my presence. Her eyes widened in realization, and she turned to look at me again, her face lighting up. "Wait, Violet?!" My name sparked the attention of the other women in the room, including AJ, who wasted no time screaming, and then jumping on top of me, in a bone crushing hug. AJ and I were the same height, so you could imagine me about to fall over from her randomly jumping on me.
"You're back! You're back!" She screamed. "My best friend is back! What are you even doing here?! You weren't supposed to be back for another few weeks! Why didn't you tell me you were coming?! We could've hung out before this! I cannot believe you're back!" AJ talked a mile a minute and I couldn't help but giggle, as she hopped down from my arms and I placed both of my hands on her shoulders.
"Slow down there, sister," I laughed. "The doctor cleared me early, since I made amazing progress in my recovery. I didn't tell you, because I wanted it to be a surprise...So, surprise! And finally, I know we didn't get to hang out before Raw, but something tells me we're gonna have a lot of time to catch up." I smiled, as she pulled me into another hug.
"Welcome back, Vi." She laughed. When we pulled away, I was swept into another hug by both Natayla and Cameron, both of them telling me how much they missed me and how great it was for me to be back, and I couldn't help but not be able to wipe the smile off of my face...I was back...I was freakin' back.
