Right, today was the day, mum, dad and I are moving house, I'm still going to the same school, we're just moving neighbourhoods, getting a bigger house, with a bigger garden.

"Poppy, have you packed everything hun?" Mum shouted from her room.

"Nearly! Just my bathroom things still need to be put in a box" I said back, loud enough for her to hear me.

I headed to the bathroom and put everything in a cardboard box labeled 'Poppy's Bathroom.' I threw in my toothbrush, toothpaste, towels etc.

To be honest I didn't want to move houses, I liked this house. It was a bit small, but that doesn't matter, in the word of The Smurfs, the smaller the house, the closer you are to your family. And I believed that. Plus the neighbourhood I lived in now was small, everyone knew everyone, there where no small annoying children, and everyone was polite. But the new house. I know about this street. Teenage boys. Late night parties. And not to mention, my bullies also lived there. It was the one place I didn't want move to, I tried to persuade my parents to move somewhere else, but they insisted that this house was perfect.

I have never told them about the two boys who bully me. I didn't feel comfortable talking about it after school, and if I brought it up, they would get teachers involved, then it will escalate into something huge, then the bullying will get worse. So every night when I get home, I grab some snacks, talk with my parents for about 2 hours, then head upstairs to be alone for the rest of the night.

"Come on Poppy, time to go!" Dad shouted from the bottom of the stairs, bringing me out of my thoughts.

I grabbed my box full of bathroom things and walked down the stairs to my dad and handed the box to him so he can put it into the moving van. I went upstairs a couple more times collecting all the boxes from my now empty room.

Once I had taken all of my stuff to the van I ran up the stairs for one last time and stood in the doorway of my room. I scanned the empty room as a tear escaped my eye. I had lived here all my life, 17 years. 17 birthdays, 17 Christmas', I'm going to miss this house. I got snapped out of my thoughts once again by the car horn. I ran down the stairs and got in the back of the car.

I looked at the small wooden looking house one last time before we drove off to our new house.

After our 30 minute drive we arrived in front of a large white house, with a open porch held up with wooden beams. I have to say, it is a stunning house, it's just a shame about where it's placed.

Already, people where coming out of their houses a looking through their windows to see what was going on. I helped my mum and dad bring some of the boxes in, along with the removal men who where carrying the beds and wardrobes, things like that.

"Do you want to go and select your room?" Mum asked.

I nodded and carried one of my boxes through the house and up the stairs to find which room I wanted. There where four rooms, three had en suit bathrooms, two had walk-in wardrobes. I chose the smaller of the two rooms which had both, which was at the front of the house, overlooking the neighbourhood.

My dad then came strutting into my new room. "Hey, you know there's a attic which we could turn into your room if you like? Would you like me to show you?"

"Cool, yeah!" I smiled following my dad out of the room and up some spiralled stairs that where hidden behind a door.

I followed dad up the stairs until we reached the top. I reached the last step the looked up from my feet to reveal a huge room. I just stood with my mouth open.

"You're catching flies sweetie" dad laughed. "You like?"

I closed my mouth quickly, giggling a bit the replying "I love it!"

"And over here there's a bathroom, with a shower, bath and toilet" he pointed out. "And over here there's a little kitchen area" he said walking over across from the bathroom.

I stood at the stairs and looked around the room. On the small wall where the stairs where was a huge window instead of a wall, on the opposite side there was a small room which was the bathroom, across from that there was a open kitchen with another window and then there was just a huge open plan room which I could plan out myself, considering my parents are pretty rich.

"I love it" I smiled running up to my dad and hugging him.

"Good, I know this isn't where you want to live, and you would prefer to stay at our old house, but I hope you can a just to living here" he said kissing my head.

I looked up to him and smiled "thanks dad"

"No problem, anything for you. I'm going to go back and help bring everything into the house, you can stay up here and plan how you want your room to look" he smiled making his way to the stairs.

"Thank you" I smiled sitting on the little island that was in the kitchen area.

I looked at the room deciding how I wanted the room to look. It took a while, but I finally decided how I wanted everything.

After we had carried everything into the house, I bought both my mum and dad up to my room to show them how I wanted it. They listened intently as I described everything in detail.

"Ok, so on this wall, I want a huge television" I motioned pointing to the large wall on the bathroom side. "Then opposite, I would like two white corner sofas, so it makes like a 'L' shape but with a top bit as well ( like that -> [ ) but can the corner sofas fold out to be beds? So then I can have a humongous bed. I would also like truck loads of pillows and the fluffiest blankets possible so if I can't be bothered to pull the bed out I can make like a floor bed!" I described. I know that sounds like a lot, and that's only a bed and telly but I want this room to be perfect.

"Well see what we can do, considering it's your 18th birthday in a couple of weeks" mum smiled at my excitement towards my new room.

I cheered and hugged both my mum and dad, before thanking them.
