Nick kept trying to text and call me, but I ignored it all. After all, I'm giving a lesson to a class of twenty four tenth grade students."I'll put your homework up on the board, and the rest of the hour is yours to work. I'll be walking around to help." I looked up at the clock mounted on the wall, seeing that I had thirty minutes before my fourth period class is over.
I put their homework assignment up on the chalk board. Page 273, questions 1-32. Once I was finished writing, a collective groan came from the kids.
"I can always give you more." I turned on my heel and raised my eyebrow at them, my tone becoming serious. That's when they began to work. Well, about half of them, as usual. I sat at my desk, unlocking my phone. I received five text messages from my boyfriend, and three missed phone calls. But no voicemails. Of course.
I opened the texts, reading them one by one.
Nick: Cassidy!
Nick: Cass!
Nick: Cass!
Nick: Babe!
Nick: Baby!As I read them quickly, I chuckled to myself. I glanced up from under my eyelashes for a second, and saw various hands in the air. So I shut my phone off, put it on the desk, and went to aid the kids.

After school ended, and the after school tutoring was over, I was surprised to see Nick walk through my classroom door. A big smile pasted on his face.
"Hi honey!" I smiled widely, accepting the kiss he leaned down and gave me. He went to the other side of the desk, leaning over to rest his forearms on it, looking over at me.
"You didn't answer my texts or calls." He pouted and I only chuckled. I looked up from the papers I was in the middle of grading.
"I was busy honey. School and all."
"Well......I was so excited to tell you that I'm going to playing in the Roc Nation Charity basketball game. I'm flying out late tonight, and I won't be back until Friday." My heart immediately sunk. I had plans for us tonight, but they definitely wouldn't be acted on if he was leaving.
"That's so awesome. I'm really happy for you." I smiled, and set a stack of papers to the side, sliding more in front of myself to bring my red pen to them all. I was to be here for at least another hour.
"It's for Beyond Type 1. I'm really excited baby." He grinned like a kid on Christmas morning. I smiled softly before going back to my work. I felt him staring at me, and I could bet any money that he's got a frown on his face.
"What?" I laughed.
"I love you." He leaned forward, putting his finger under my chin so I'd look up at him. His brown eyes burned into mine. I puckered my lips for him to kiss them.
"I love you too Nick. Now, I've got to finish grading these and putting them in the grade book. You're welcome to stay if you like." I said to him, turning my gaze to my Dell computer. I began to enter grades in the system, Nick sitting in one of the front row desks. I looked over at him and laughed.
"What?" He laughed along with me, and I smiled, my tongue between my teeth. It's become a bad habit of mine when I laugh, but he claims it's cute.
"You seriously look like a bad boy high schooler right now. No joke." I said, thinking that I've seen so many of those in my two years of being a teacher. My boyfriend put a smirk on his face.
"A bad boy that can get you in bed Ms. Baxton." He said, clicking his tongue. That just made me want him even more. Curse him. I glanced at the computer before faking a taken aback gasp. My eyes widened when I looked at him.
"Mr. Jonas! That is not appropriate schoolroom behavior." My British accent came through clearly, and he only laughed. I knew that he was laughing at the way I talk. It's not that he makes fun of it, but he teases me about it. I gave him my sexiest smile before continuing my work.
