Another rainy morning, another grumpy Monday and another work day. Yoongi hated his job. Who wouldn't hate his job? Everyday closed in a small office, working day and night, typing numbers in a computer.
Yoongi had different dreams for his future, but sometimes family makes sure to finish the script of your life before you even realize it. Sometimes it doesn't always work out the way you want it, Yoongi was aware of that so he didn't complain. He had a job with a really good salary, an apartment of his own. He thought it'd be greedy to ask for a little more happiness. People with good jobs and an apartment of their own are always happy... right?
He hated waking up in the morning. All these thoughts were bombarding his mind every morning which made waking up more difficult. It made him want to wish he could sleep and never wake up. He got out of bed and had a cold shower, standing in the shower for a solid second with cold water running down his snow white skin.
Just right after washing his hair another melody started haunting his mind. He got out of the shower to write down the notes in his little notebook, while water was dripping down his fingers. He quickly threw a glance to the clock, dried his body and his hair, dressed up quickly and left his apartment.
On his way to work Yoongi stopped to the same old cafeteria to get his same old espresso.
"Same as always, Gina." he said placing a bill on the counter.
"Um... and that would be?" said a young soothing voice.
Yoongi threw a glance towards the direction of that voice, only to see an adorable young man with orange hair. Like tangerine orange, who would dye their hair bright orange? However, Yoongi didn't complain much about the hair colour. A colour like that could only suit a cute face like that.
"I'm sorry but Gina is on a day off today." he paused "Um, my name is Jimin and I'm new here, so if you don't mind I'll be taking your order." said the man throwing Yoongi a cute smile.
But something was so different about his smile. When he smiled it was like his whole face was glowing. He was smiling with his eyes, not just his mouth. Yoongi stood there looking at him conflicted without knowing what to feel. Should he get upset that he was wasting his time staring at the young boy smiling or should he feel thankful and just enjoy the sight of Jimin's bright smile?
"Just get me a double espresso." he said, wanting to sound like he was busy and in a hurry.
"Someone really wants to wake up today!" said Jimin jokingly while preparing the coffee.
Yoongi threw the young boy a glare as if he looked so tired of his shit.
"Okay, you are ready to go." Jimin gulped his giggle and smiled apologetically to Yoongi while handing him his coffee and his change. "Have a nice morning~" he said as Yoongi rushed over to his car.
He wasted enough time today.
As soon as he got to his office he sat down to his computer at began to work like the hardworking ant he was.
Before he even realized how quickly the time pasted, it was lunch time. He took his cup noodles out of the cabinet above his desk, poured some hot water inside the noodle cup and stirred it a little before taking the first bite.
"Knock, Knock" said a familiar voice.
"Namjoon..." said Yoongi identifying his voice.
"Sup, man?" Namjoon said sitting on Yoongi's desk.
"Nothing, interesting really." said Yoongi slurping his noodles. "How 'bout you? You want something? Please don't tell me you broke your chair handle again. I fucking told you to stop resting too much on it, it can't support so much weight" he complained
"Wha- I didn't come here for tha- wait are you calling me fat?!" Namjoon whined.
"Just tell me what you want." said Yoongi turning his chair towards Namjoon.
"Okay, here's the deal. You remember Seokjin, right?" said Namjoon.
"Uh- Your Seokjin? The Mario obsessed nerd from uni? Yeah who could forget." said Yoongi chuckling.
"Okay, firstly he's not a nerd and he was your roommate, how rude!" said Namjoon whining.
"Just get to the point" said Yoongi laughing a bit.
"Yeah, so he texted me the other day and he wanted to go out for a coffee or somethin'." Namjoon said "You know, like old times." he continued.
"And you want me for?" Yoongi interrupted him.
"He will be visiting next week and he wanted to meet you to some-" said Namjoon
"Woah, woah I don't do, dating anymore," said Yoongi interrupting Namjoon "an-and you know that, very well." he continued.
"Yeah I know, but it's not about dating," said Namjoon "He'll tell you the details himself. All he said is that it's someone, really talented." he continued. "I know you are still working with music, Agust-"said Namjoon grinned.
"Shut up." Yoongi interrupted him again flustered. The fact that Namjoon could still figure him out after all these years, made him upset in a good way.
Namjoon smiled lightly and ruffled his hair to annoy Yoongi. "Stop that or I'll break your arm" said Yoongi and Namjoon kept his hands to himself.
"So?" wondered Namjoon scratching his head.
"I hate waking up on weekends." said Yoongi turning his chair towards his computer.
"Great, 10 am at the cafeteria!" said Namjoon scramming quick out of Yoongi's office before he changed his mind.
"You bas-" he stopped as he turned his glance to see that Namjoon had already left the room.
Yoongi sighed noting the event on his agenda; Namjoon can get really whiny when Yoongi forgets appointments. "Well it's not like my agenda is that busy-" he mumbled as he was interrupted by a cell phone buzzing.
"Hello?" he answered
"Oh hey, mother."
"Yeah work is...great."
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Alright, mother." replied Yoongi starring at his blank agenda, his blank life. He indeed was... empty.
