I sometimes wonder why I still hang around Kiley. Right now she's driving me crazy and that's not really a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I love her and stuff but she can sometimes be very annoying and mean when it came down to my social life. The girl thinks I live under a rock. I mean sure, I barely come out of my room, but it's for a very good cause, really.
She's going on about how I probably wouldn't notice the outside world being burned to the ground and every living thing being in ashes if the sun ever tried to spit it's lava hot saliva, her words not mine, while I was in my tiny room without a care in the world because I was probably being someone else.
One time I asked her how would I be the only one alive if everything was burned to the ground, it is logic sense after all, but the girl came at me with random words spilling out of her mouth like a river. She said that that was not the point and insisted that I spend more time out of the house and see the sun for once at least. My skin is almost pale white by the lack of energy it got.
Kiley said that if I don't go outside in the next hour or so, and I quote, I will turn into a vampire and suck on juicy blood of the humans and maybe animals if I ever got desperate for more blood. I don't even know how the girl comes up with this stuff, its really crazy. None of it makes sense.
Now I bet you are wondering, who the heck is Kiley and why is she bothering me or why the sun and vampires have to do with anything right now? Well be patient my young reader but I'll tell you this, Kiley is my best friend, actually my only friend now that I think of it. I don't really mind having just one friend really, I prefer being alone having quiet and peace at my plate. I mean I have a nice family and relatives and one amazing yet annoying friend but really what more I can ask for. Anyways, back to what Kiley was saying.
"Seriously Meg, this is the last chance we've got before they close the carnival. We went last year and you had fun," Kiley pointed out.
"Yeah if you call getting ketchup and mustard all over my sweater fun, it still stinks like it by the way. And remember that time when that little girl kept on throwing her toy at me? I got in trouble for nicely handing it over to her and she kept on repeating over and over about me taking it away from her. I got in trouble with her dad, he called me a rudely annoying teenage with nothing better to do than torment little kids, I mean seriously? The only tormenting I do is to MIKE and sometimes Kim but that's it," I rambled on.
Gosh I talk too much, I thought to myself."I don't care, okay. Besides, I don't think they will be there since it's like literally the last time before the carnival closes until next year. Who would even want to go on the very last day of it? They probably went a bunch of other times last 3 weeks when it opened. Also they probably know about all the teenagers that come on the last day of the carnival like how it's been every single time," she pointed out.
She had a point, a really good one that is. I really hated when she was right and I was wrong. So I slowly began to nod my head while glaring at her. She squealed loudly and jumped out of her chair she was sitting in to hug me, really tightly.
"You're... oof.. squishing ... ughh.. me," I tried to let out. She had finally released her hold on me and went back on the chair she was sitting in before squishing the day lights out of me.
"You know, we might even find two guys for us both," she said while wiggling her eyebrows at me. I immediately knew my answer to that, I was totally against it.
"Whatever. Don't jump to conclusion though." Ever since we both reached the age of twelve, Kiley started dreaming about boys. When we entered eighth grade, she was obsessed over getting a boyfriend. At that age I discovered books. Ever since then, we became polar opposites but that didn't stop our friendship.
