                       *Peters POV*

I feel instant regret when she starts to walk away.

"Lindsey, wait." I say, but she ignores me and keeps walking.

I was just about to go after her when someone holds me back.

"Let her go." Will says and looks at me.

"What?" I say, confused.

" leave her be. Girls need some alone time." He explained.

"So, you think because you've had a girlfriend, in which you have lost, you know more about girls than me?" I said a bitterly.

"No, but I know when a girl needs her space, so just leave her alone for a while.. Let her cool down." He said and took his arm off me.

"Fine...just..get back to work." I said and he nodded and left.

Its dangerous in the forest. I should follow her to make sure she's safe..

I walk along the forest that she had walked on. How far is she going to go?

It wasn't long till I heard voices..I turned the corner and just as I did, I saw Lindsey get pulled into the ocean by a scaly hand.

The mermaids..

Wonderful! Great!

I took off running in that direction and dove into the water . they where already so deep and I could see Lindsey struggling to get free.

Once the mermaid saw who I was, she let her go and quickly swam away. I reconize that girl. I'll take care of her later..

I grab Lindsey around the waist and pull her up to the surface. Then I lay her on the shore.

...she's not breathing.. Or moving...

Oh god Peter..

"Lindsey?....LINDSEY" I say and open her mouth.

I exhale 3 gentle breaths into her lungs and push on her chest.

Suddenly she jolted up and coughed up about a lungs worth of water.

Then she looked at me.

"HOW STUPID ARE YOU? YOU PRETTY MUCH JUST WILLINIGLY HANDED YOURSELF OVER TO DEATH. " I yelled.

But she didn't say anything back.. She just kept looking at me. I could see her eyes water up. Dammit.

"Why did you save me?" She asked.

"Because..because I still need you." I lied.

"Why didn't you just rip my heart out when I was dead? " she asked.

because I care...

"Because its not time yet. And I need to keep you alive." I said getting up.

"Really? Why?"

I started at her..not knowing the answer.

She got up and began to walk away. I'm not going to feel that regret again.

I quickly grab her arm and pull her into a tight hug..and slowly but surely..she hugs back.

"This is still a one time thing" I say.

Not my best choice of words..

She broke the hug and punched me dead in the nose and I fell backwards.. Damn, that girl can punch!

She started walking back in the directions of camp, so I reajusted my noise and followed her back.
