"teacher, may i ask you to change my seat in the class?"

"what's your reason, ms. kang?" teacher smiled.

i actually don't know why i'm doing this. let's just say i'm a thick-faced bitch.

"i'm in the last row of the classroom. i can't see the whiteboard if i'm too far." it's somehow true that my vision is kinda blurry, but i have my contacts and i don't usually look at the board so sorry, teacher. sorry, my beloved seatmate eunjung.

"if that's the case, where do you wish to sit? you can choose."

i smiled sheepishly then quickly said, "is it okay if i sit there in the second row?" i pointed a particular seat, the one beside jimin.

"no problem, ms. kang. from now on, you'll be sitting on your desired seat. and if your vision is getting blurry, i suggest you to get glasses already."

"ah no, i can still handle my vision. thank you, teacher." i bowed.

classes will start soon. i came in here early just for this. students came in one by one until we're all present.

jimin who's on my right looked very surprised from me sitting beside him.

"hey, jimin. please don't be uncomfortable towards me. my vision is just kinda blurry so i'm here." i bowed.

jimin didn't speak. instead, he listens to the discussion as he takes down notes while i secretly took put my phone, checking the comments on my profile picture i posted yesterday. suddenly, our mathematics teacher puts her attention on me.

"it seems like your attention isn't on the lesson, ms. kang?" the teacher crossed her arms in her chest and looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"no, i'm listening, teacher." no, i didn't.

"if so, could you please answer this problem on the board?" i gulped, looking at the given math problem. it's a familiar lesson, i know i studied this before so i'm hoping that i can solve this.

i started to solve the problem and gladly, i got the correct answer. thanks to my advanced reading last last week, i have learned this topic. i looked at the teacher, and she just smiled.

jimin's crumpled forehead became evident. i can see that he's having a hard time with our lesson, but minutes after, he bowed his head down as he jot down his notes.

classes ended and while i'm fixing my things, all of our classmates left the classroom, leaving me and jimin. i'm fixing my things while he's still looking at his notes.

i didn't dare to speak because he might just ignore me again. i was about to leave the classroom after i finished my things, but i saw jimin still sitting in his chair, reading the math book carefully.

"do you want me to teach you there?" i offered, he looked at me for seconds but after that, he shook his head, "are you sure? it's kinda difficult, you know. it took me a lot of time to learn that lesson." he shook his head again.

"okay. are you going home already after that?" he didn't speak. i wonder why he's not talking to me again. we were kinda good yesterday. i sighed in my disappointment.

"take care on your way home. don't forget to use umbrella, it's starting to rain. and also, change the signs, i saw you not changing the signs that's why you're getting the wrong answer." i said.

before i completely leave, i hear him mutter "thank you" and that's good enough for me, and cute too.

i went home and my parents with a big smile on their faces are the ones i first saw as i enter our house. i quickly asked them what's the matter.

"we're moving!" they both said in unison.

"oh really?" my eyes got bigger.

"yes, we're moving in to our new house on the other day. we found a really good place and talked to the landlady earlier. we already paid for it."

i immediately hugged them, saying countless 'thank yous'. i can't explain how happy i am right now. we're finally moving from this old house. i'm finally getting a better room since there's always a leak from my ceiling. but this house will remain my favorite one because this is where i was born and where i grew up.

i can't wait to see our new home, and new life.
