I'll Take Care of You (Usopp x Baby!Reader)

Part 3

(This part is the longest, sorry for that! I guess I got carried away!)

Usopp was the last to arrive back to the Sunny, making Nami angry.

Everyone, except Sanji who was in the kitchen, was waiting on the deck.

"What the hell took you so long?!", Nami screeched loudly.

The loud screeching woke (Y/n) up and she started crying. The rest crew had shocked and/or confused expressions on their faces.

"What's Usopp got in his arms?", Luffy asked dumbly.

"You moron, it's a baby!", Zoro answered with a grunt.

"Correction, she's now my daughter and a certain somebody's screeching woke her up!",  Usopp grumbled as he glared at Nami while calming the baby down.

She calmed down and started to babble happily and look at her new surroundings with wonder and curiosity.

"Usopp? Why do you have a child?", Robin asked.

Usopp sighed and passed her the note that he found.

" Dear whoever finds my daughter,
Please take care of her. I'm not in any condition to care for her, I'm too sick and I have no living relatives that can care for her. Her name is (Y/n) and she was born on
(y/b/d). Please take care of her and love her like I'm not able to." , Robin read out loud.

"The poor thing!", Chopper said with a sad frown.

"Why did you, out of all people decide to take her?", Zoro asked.

"She's only a baby, she needs someone. And no one in that village would do it! I ran into an old lady before I got here and she told me that (Y/n) and her mother were from an ancient tribe that the rest of the villagers were terrified of and that they tried to kill the both of them because of their  power!", Usopp answered with a sharp tone.

"Ancient tribe?", Chopper asked.

"Yes. The lady said that (Y/n)'s a Sairhen.", Usopp said.

Robin was intrigued as she walked up to Usopp and his daughter. She moved the blanket a bit and pulled out (Y/n)'s necklace.

"So she's the last Sairhen.", Robin mused.

"What's a Saigen?", Luffy asked.

"Sairhen. She's a Sairhen.", Usopp corrected in an annoyed tone as the baby continued to stare at her new surroundings with curiosity.

"A Sairhen is the ancient tribe of human-like creatures. They're said to have a voice so powerful that they could level whole kingdoms and cities if wanted to. They can keep their powerful voices at bay with the necklace they are given at birth. They're similar to sirens, but Sairhens look a lot like us. There are different colors for the gems, they represent the Sairhens' natural element. That means along with their powerful voices, Sairhens are able to control an element much like a Logia type Devil Fruit user. White means wind, blue means water, red means fire, green means earth, gold means light, and purple means darkness. It's extremely rare to see a Sairhen child that has all the natural elements as their natural element, so (Y/n) is bound to be extremely powerful when her abilities start to show.", Robin answered, a small smile gracing her face.

"Wow!" , Franky and Brook both said in a shocked tone.

"So cool!", Luffy and Chopper cheered.

Nami and Zoro were both shocked to the point that they were speechless.

Nami then shook her head, "Usopp, I don't know."

"Nami, she's a baby! She's got no one else except for me! I looked into her (e/c) eyes and I saw myself! Her mother died because of illness and her father is gone as well! She needs me, Nami.", Usopp said with uncharacteristic boldness.

"I still don't-", Nami started to say until someone interrupted her.

"She's staying, Nami. Captain's orders.", Luffy said with seriousness he smiled as he saw Usopp look down at (Y/n) with the look only a father could have as she reached her little hand to grab his pinkie, "I'm not going to separate a family. (Y/n) needs a father and I see no problem with Usopp stepping up and raising her as his own."

Nami looked at Luffy surprised. Luffy with uncharacteristic gentleness, turned Nami's head to face Usopp and (Y/n). The rest of the crew's hearts warmed at the sight of the happy dad holding his daughter, smiling down at her and handling her with such care only a parent could.

Franky teared up and went up to Usopp and placed his hand on the new dad's shoulder.

"Congratulations, man!", Franky said with a chuckle and a sniffle.

"Thanks Franky. And thank you, Luffy.", Usopp thanked them.

Luffy chuckled and gave him a thumbs up.

"She's rather adorable!", Robin said with a smile as she lightly rubbed the baby girl's cheek.

"Yohohohoho! Such a joyous occasion!", Brook laughed happily as he played a happy tune.

Chopper struggled to see the baby, making him frown. Luffy giggled and lifted Chopper up to where he could see (Y/n) properly.

"She's so cute!", the reindeer doctor said with a smile, "And she looks to be completely healthy, but she does need to eat."

Usopp nodded and asked, "Do we have any milk?"

"I'll make her bottle!", Nami said with a smile.

Usopp smiled, "Thanks, Nami!"

"You better not charge him!", Zoro grumbled.

"Shut your trap, Marimo! I wasn't gonna, but I'm gonna charge you for saying that!", Nami said angrily, she kicked him across the deck and made her way to the kitchen to make (Y/n) her bottle.

She made it rather quickly and gave it to Usopp who gladly accepted it and he fed it to his daughter.

"Hey Chopper?", Luffy asked, gaining the reindeer's attention, "Aren't babies supposed to only have something called baby formula?"

The crew looked at him with shock. Chopper and Usopp panicked as Robin giggled and shook her head.

"No. Sairhen babies can easily drink regular milk since their digestive system is a little more advanced than ours.", Robin answered, calming down the panicked doctor and sniper.

"Oh thank god!", Usopp and Chopper said relieved.

Usopp heard (Y/n)'s giggle and smiled down at her and held her close as he let her play with his fingers.

The crew rejoiced as they started to celebrate. Usopp smiled as his little girl fell asleep.

'I'll take care of you, (Y/n). No matter what!', he said in his head as he went to his room to lay down with his new daughter, 'I'll love you and protect you like a real father should. Don't worry, Daddy will take care of you.'
