Miracle

I was in a Cafè waiting for Odell. I slowly moved my straw around in my tea.

I heard the bell ring when someone comes in. I looked up and saw Odell. I stood up and he looked around finally noticing me.

He walked over to me and pulled me into a hug. "Hey, how are you?" I greeted.

"Good, you look amazing."

"Thank you, you do too."

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"You actually."

"Me? Why?"

"Because, Ashley has been telling me about how you treat her." He suddenly became angry.

"And what did she say?"

"She told me how you are verbally abusive, physically abusive. And you didn't show up to the doctors appointments when she was pregnant."

"I know, and I apologized for that. And I told her that I will change."

"But what made you become this way? You never was like this before."

"I don't know."

"What made you change?"

"When she was about to leave me, that made me realize that she meant alot to me."

I smiled. "Well that's good, she shouldn't have went through that anyway."

"I know, I feel horrible, but everyday I thrive to make her happy."

Odell

After meeting up with Miracle, I decided to go home. I'm actually pissed that Ashley told Miracle about my abusive ways.

I got out of the car and went into the house.

"Hey, babe." She had her arms out for me to hug her but I walked passed her and picked up Ashlyn.

"Are you okay?"

"Why did you tell Miracle about me hitting you?"

"I don't know, I felt like I should have told her."

"Why?!"

"Because she went through the same thing."

"But don't you remember what I said if you told anybody that I hit you."

"No, what did you say?"

"I said I would kill you." She instantly became red.

"So y-your going to kill me?"

"I don't know should I?"

"No." She shooked her head.

"Why, you told Miracle."

"I know but what about Ashlyn."

"Don't worry about her."

"What do you mean? If you kill me then she won't have none of her parents."

"She will have me."

"How when you will be in jail."

"Who said I was going to jail."

"What?"

"I could just kill you." He went to the dish holder and picked up a knife and grabbed my neck.

"And leave, I can take Ashlyn and move far far away from here. And when Ashlyn gets older I could say that you died from cancer." He moved the tip of the knife down my cheek.

"So bitch fuck with me if you want too." He pushed the knife in my cheek. Tears ran down my face.

He dropped the knife making me jump. He let go of my neck and picked up a sleeping Ashlyn.

He kissed her cheek and took her upstairs. I rubbed my neck and looked into the mirror and saw a little cut on my cheek.

•Later That Night•

I woke up from my sleep it was 4 in the morning. Odell has his arms wrapped around me. I tried to get out of bed but he woke up.

"Where are you going?" He groaned.

"Bathroom." He groaned some more and unwrapped his arm from around me.

I got up and went into Ashlyn's room. I quickly packed up her clothes.

I went into my room and quickly packed my clothes. I picked up Ashlyn and went downstairs. I ran and got my cars keys. I hurriedly put Ashlyn in her car seat making sure she was in there securely.

I got into the car and drove off. Tears ran down my face and I pulled up to a hotel.

I got out Ashlyn and our suitcases.

"One room please." I said once I made it to the front desk.

"Room 101. Here is your keys."

I got on the elevator and went into our room.

I placed Ashlyn on the bed and unpacked our clothes.

Once I finished I laid down next to Ashlyn. I picked her up and laid her on my chest. Slowly rocking her.

"We're free now Ashlyn." I said falling asleep.
