Salina

A few months passed and everyone on my hall was beginning to get closer. My feelings were getting stronger for Quincy. I really want to say something to him, but I'm not ready for rejection. I feel like he would never go for the type of girl like me. I'm super smart, I'm not the best looking, and I'm not an attention seeker. We wouldn't go together; we're complete opposites.

It's so hard though not to feel this way because we're together all the time. If i'm not in his room, then he's in mine. We eat together. We go out together. It's like we're already a couple.

I really have ti get over him, or else it's only going to get harder for me. Quincy is kind of a man whore. Every time I look up, he's hooked up with someone else. My newer friends Haben and Martia really don't know why I'm so hung up on him.

Martia

Salina, Haben, and I were going to get lunch. As we were walking throughout the campus, we saw Quincy walking by with Ari. Ugh, that slut! She was just with a football player yesterday. And I know this because her room is right beside mine. I couldn't sleep because all I heard was the bed banging against the wall!

I looked at Salina's face and I could tell that she was a little annoyed with the situation. Quincy saw her and smiled.

"Hey Salina!" He exclaimed as we crossed paths

"Hey Salina!" He exclaimed as we crossed paths. I noticed his arms preparing for a hug, but he played it off when Salina kept walking.

"What's up, Martia?" Quincy spoke as I walked past him.

"Hello, Q." I answered coldly.

"Hey Q." Haben nearly whispered as Quincy stood there baffled.

I don't like being mean, but he's leading my friend on and I don't like it.

Haben

We finally made it to the little soul food joint. I ordered the fried chicken combo. Martia got the same, but Salina ordered a salad instead. I shook my head. Was she serious?

We all sat down at a little table.

"Are you okay?" I asked Salina.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Salina answered dryly.

"Lina, you can't let him get to you." Martia said, as she rubbed Salina's shoulder. "He's not worth it."

"I know." Salina sighed. "It's just hard."

"He's so arrogant." I rolled my eyes. "What do you see in him?"

"You guys, lets not start this again." Salina warned.

"Okay, okay." I put my hands up in defense.

Quincy

I've been hanging out with Ari for a minute and I like they way things have been going. She's the perfect girl for me.

Ari

I've been hanging out with Quincy for a minute, but I feel that he's getting too attached to me too quickly. He's really clingy, and I'm not quite ready to be in a relationship yet. Don't get me wrong, he's very attracitve and the sex is amazing, but I think we're moving too fast.

I can't continue to be seen in public with him, or people will get the wrong idea.
