"Evanya! Evanya! Moonflower! Where are you two?" Marcus called.
Natalia shushed him, "You're gonna wake up the entire forest!"
Marcus glared at her, "Our friends are in danger, and all you can think about is waking a couple birds! If it weren't for you, we could have told them who they are and they could have protected themselves, from whatever could have hurt them."
Natalia stared at the ground guiltily. Tears began to cloud her amber eyes.
Marcus sighed, "Sorry, I didn't mean that. It's just... I was really starting to like those girls. I'm worried about them."
Natalia smiled slightly, "Those girls, or just one of them..."
Before they could continue their conversation, a small moan came from behind them. They listened carefully, hoping that it was them. From a bush behind them, a girl was laying on a large tree stump gasping for breath. Moonflower.
She was pale, and she was laying there, trying to sit up. She rasped, "Evanya! Where did they take her?!"
Marcus moved closer and took a look at her condition. "We need to get you home now!" He moved toward her, and gathered her up in his arms, walking as fast as he could to the small hut.
"No, we need to find Evanya," Moonflower rasped.
When they reached their hut, he slowly lowered her down onto one of the beds, while Natalia got the first aid kit. She took the anesthetic injection, and threw it to Marcus, who injected it into her bare arm.
Moonflower groaned, and then fell unconscious after a while. Then, Natalia tried to figure out what to do. The wound was too deep to stitch it up, and it was too big to bandage it. But the biggest problem, was the greenish goo coming out of her arm, as well as blood.
Marcus looked at Natalia and hissed impatiently, " It's poison! Do something!"
Natalia tried to find something that could help her, but nothing could work on her. Marcus said, "I'm going to try to heal her."
He stood up, and opened his fist. Golden vines, burst out of the ground, and wrapped around her. But the wound still wasn't healing.
Marcus cursed under his breath. Natalia gasped, "This is a powerful dark magic, the Lord of Chaos must be behind this."
Marcus nodded, "Yeah, Evanya could be in a lot of trouble. We need to find her!"
Natalia nodded, "Yes, but we can't just leave Moonflower here. We need to use the golden nectar."
Marcus shook his head, "There has to be another way, I can't risk-"
Natalia cut him off, "We need it, and we need it now... It's the only way."
They got the golden nectar, and poured the golden liquid on the gaping wound, waiting for Moonflower to get up. But nothing happened. They waited a little longer, but still, nothing happened.
"No, it has to work!" Natalia cried, "That's all we had!"
Marcus looked at the golden liquid as it started evaporating. "How is it evaporating? It's worked on everything!"
"Wait, I know this curse. Let me get my spellbook." Natalia said, as she ran towards the kitchen. She scrambled through the shelves, until she found a small brown notebook. She quickly breezed through the book, until she found what she was looking for.
She gasped. "It is worse than I thought. Its power was drained."
Marcus looked at her curiously and then he frowned, "No, you can't mean..."
Natalia looked at Marcus, holding his gaze. She murmured under her breath,
"She's back."
