Walter shouted as loud as he could, "Evanya! Moonflower! Where are you two?" He sighed, exhausted. He had been roaming the woods all day.

He sat down on a nearby rock, a wave of defeat rushing over him. It was almost sunset and he still had no idea where they could be. He sat there for a while, gazing out at the wilderness that surrounded him.

He knew that his chances of finding them would be slim. On his time above ground he had become used to the sun. But spending the whole day in the bright rays had weakened him. He couldn't use his power anymore, for his energy was very little.

Walter got up and walked slowly to the trees on the other side of the clearing. He walked slowly, trying his best to find them, even though he knew deep down that they weren't anywhere near. He walked for an hour, going deeper towards the heart of the forest.

Something rattled the bushes behind him. Walter looked behind him, but nothing was there, so he continued on. He felt like something was watching him.

He sped up a little more, trying to lose it, but still had that creepy feeling that something was watching him. Walter stopped dead and looked behind once more.

He saw a shadow move silently behind the trees. He waved his hand and tried to disappear into a black mist, but he was already drained and his power was rendered useless.

Walter tried running, but the figure was faster. It ran in front of him and he closed his eyes, preparing for pain. But instead he heard a soft, kind voice.

A girl around 14 stepped out of the shadows. "Don't be scared, I'm not going to hurt you." She slowly edged over to him, "What's your name?"

His muscles tensed. He forced himself to calm down, but all he managed to get out was, "Umm....."

After breaking out of his trance he looked at her with a quizzical expression and asked, "Who are you?"

She smiled slightly before answering, "My name is... Hurl."

"Cool name," he said, trying to stop himself from laughing.

"Thanks. What's yours?" she asked.

"My name is Walter, Prince of the-" He stopped himself immediately. Then, paused and said, "Um... the Prince of... Italy?" he said uncertainly.

He expected a look curiousity, since it was pretty obvious he made it up. But she didn't even ask a single question.

"Cool!" she smiled.

Is she really this dumb? he thought to himself. She seemed to have read his mind because she said, "Anyway, care to tell me what is the capital of Italy, and where your castle is located?"

Walter saw the mischievous look in her eyes. He knew that she had stumped him.

She stared at him for a few moments, waiting for a response. When he didn't answer, she asked,"Who are you, really?"

Walter looked up uncomfortably, hesitant to reveal his secret to someone he just met. She must have sensed his worry, and said, "It's okay, I can just call you Walt."

He shot her a joking glare, and she laughed. He "So, do you live around here?"

Hurl looked up, surprised. "Yeah, I live close to here. Where do you live?"

Walter quickly changed the topic. "I am starving, are these berries poisonous?", he asked, pointing at some red berries that hung over them.

Hurl looked at them for a moment, and then picked one from the tree. The she plopped it into her mouth, and smiled, "Delicious, I haven't had a cherry in months."
