As Midnight Draws Near

After the Incident

A/N: Hey guys, sorry it took so long to update but after adopting this story I've had soo many ideas. Well anyways if you have any good story ideas PM me I am open to new ideas

   There was a cold breeze that night. After Ino told her parents about what happened she tried to go to bed. But she couldn't. She couldn't stop from thinking about what had happened that night but she knew that the best thing she could do was to try to get some rest and finally, she fell asleep.

  Meanwhile, Naruto was FURIOUS. After he had left Ino's house he went hunting for the man that attacked her. He didn't know why he was so mad but all he knew was he had to get this guy for what he did to Ino.
Naruto sped though the village searching for this man, until finally...." HEY YOU!!! GET BACK HERE YOU SCUMBAG!!!" Naruto angrily yelled. At that time Naruto chased the man up and down the village. " You'll never catch me alive!" the man said. As soon as the man said this, he let his guard down and Naruto jumped in front of him. "Fine then, have it your way." the man muttered. Before Naruto could react the man lunged at Naruto and thew a hard jab at him. In no time the man thew a knee into Naruto's stomach and then the man grabbed him and threw him into the building. " Hahaha! You can't beat me! For I am the infamous KAZUMI!!" "K-Kazumi!" Naruto said, coughing up blood. Naruto recognized that name and realized that the man standing in front of him was a very skilled rogue shinobi.

In the morning
   Ino woke up late in the afternoon feeling horrible because she couldn't stop thinking about what happened last night. After getting ready, she went downstairs for lunch. "Oh Ino dear, you're awake! It's good to see that you're better than you were last night!" Ino's mom stated comfortingly. 
"Thanks mom" Ino replied. After eating lunch she decided to go out and talk to her best friend Sakura about what happened. As she was on her way to Sakura's house she saw that a part of the was destroyed. " WHAT HAPPENED HERE!" Ino yelled. "There was a very fierce battle that took place here" a villager walking by said. " Oh um, thank you sir" Ino said politely. She kept walking to Sakura's to see if she knew what was going on. She arrived at Sakura's house and knocked on the door, Sakura's parents answered.
"Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Haruno.  Is Sakura home?" Ino asked. "No, you just missed her. She's heading to the hospital, I'm sure you could catch up to her." Sakura's dad said." " Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Haruno!" Ino explained while running to the hospital. When Ino got to the hospital she saw Sakura walking in. " Hey Sakura!" Ino yelled. " Ino, hey! I'm heading to see Naruto. Do you wanna come with me?" " NARUTO!! What'd he do this time?! Oh wait, I have to tell you something." Ino said as the two walked into the hospital. Ino told Sakura about what happened to her last night as they were going to Naruto's room. They opened the door and Naruto was covered in bandages like a mummy. He looked in bad shape buy he still had that energy about him. "NARUTO WHAT'D YOU DO THIS TIME!" Sakura and Ino both said. "I got into a fight!"  Naruto yelled, slightly backing away. After a second Naruto's mood changed to serious, " Ino, I have to tell you something." " Yes Naruto?" Ino asked surprised. " INO YAMANAKA I LOVE YOU!!" Naruto yelled as loud as he could. Ino was stunned for a moment, but then replied to him. " YOU BAKA! YOU KNOW I'M IN LOVE WITH SASUKE-SAMA!!" " YEAH! Let's go Ino!" Sakura told Ino. And with that they left. " But wait" Naruto tried to say, but he couldn't finish with his wounds as extensive as they were.
Naruto's heart felt broken and he couldn't understand why it happened that way. He was sad, hurt, and felt horrible.

A few hours later: Ino was at home thinking about how she responded to Naruto. She felt bad and thought that she shouldn't have responded so cruelly. So, she decided to go back to the hospital and when she got there she went up to Naruto's room and he wasn't there! She ran down to the front desk" Where's Naruto?!" She asked. " Oh, he checked out a little while ago. He said he 'was leaving' or something like that." As soon as Ino heard that Ino made a mad dash to the Hokage's office. "Lady Tsunade Naruto left the village!" Ino exclaimed, bursting into Tsnunade's office. " I know," Tsunade said, " he decided that he's going on his own journey to figure some things out and to.... Let's just say, it's personal." " BUT LADY TSUNADE, YOU CAN'T" " I advise you not to finish that sentence Ino" Tsunade warned. " Fine. Why was Naruto in the hospital anyway. He said he got into a fight, but that's all he said" Ino asked. " He got into a fight with a very dangerous man named Kazumi because Kazumi had attacked you last night." Tsunade calmly said. It was in that instant that Ino felt regretful.
