"Please, Axel." The man calmly spoke, "Answer the question."
Nothing about the interviewer was hostile. In fact, he had a friendly aura to him. But his tight smile and his wide glassy eyes couldn't fool Axel, not anymore.
Sweat dripped down Axel's face. His eyes were darting, looking at anything but the man's face. The questions he was asked were simple and straightforward but, he struggled to answer them all.
"What is more important to you?" The man asked,"Honesty or kindness?"
Axel looked up at the fluorescent lights. Squinting as he tried to think about the question.
"Uh-um. Kindness?" Axel gulped.
His answer was written down.
"Intelligence or hospitality?"
"Pr-probably hospitality."
"Power or peace?"
"Why does it matt-"
In a complete change in character, the man got up and slammed Axel's head into the desk with a loud "bang." After taking a deep breath and straightening his tie, the man sat back down and resumed his calm and smiley facade.
"I will be the only one asking the questions here, if you don't mind." He began to gather up his papers. "Now, power or peace?"
Axel's head was still laying on the table but he managed to grumble out-
"Peace. Of course."
~A bag was placed over Axel's head.
Rolling down the hallways he was completely blind.
