Everyone knows the story of Anderson. You know, the man who made fun of Sherlock Holmes, calling him a freak. Everyone assumed they hated each other... But they see, not observe.
It all started back when Mr. Holmes was a newbie to the Yard. Detective Inspector Lestrade had picked him up on case, and when he was surprised by the brilliancy of his work, brought the young curly haired genius back to the office.
Let's rewind a bit more. Before the certain case in which Mr. Holmes joined the team, another forensics detective had the luxury of attention... Anderson.
Now before he had acquired his job at the yard, Anderson had worked for years to make his way up the rankings. Even though he had had the proper education, no one seemed to want to hire the floppy haired boy. So after years of searching for a proper job, Anderson gave up in a way, and joined the mail room. He played the game of business carefully, and as he did so, he slowly moved up the totem pole.
Everyone adored the lad. He was brought along on all of Lestrade's cases, and even found love with another woman in the office... Sally Donovan.
Donovan could be a nasty woman at times, but at others she seemed to glow brighter than anyone else in world through the eyes of our forensics major. They'd stay late in Lestrade's office many days, completing "unfinished business". The only one who could really see through this quaint little lie was our other leading man, Sherlock Holmes.
When Sherlock came into the office, he seemed indifferent to Anderson, and Anderson didn't mind him at all. I mean, after all, he was just helping them solve a few cases.
The two rarely spoke, but Anderson started to grow green with envy. Sherlock had gotten to the top without any work, and now the spotlight beamed onto him. The little things Mr. Holmes did started setting Anderson on edge; how quickly he could solve a puzzle, how deep his voice was, the face he made when he thinks everyone understands every word he's saying... Anderson could put up with no more of it! This was his office, his job, his spotlight! Sherlock was too perfect, and Anderson was jealous.
