Have you ever tried so hard to get someone to notice you, and it ends up that they never knew you existed. Has it happened to your more than once. It has to me.
"Jocelyn Rivers." The teacher spoke reading the attendance list.
"Here." I replied back raising my hand.
I was mostly invisible to the students at the school and being a freshman didn't help much either.
"Psst." A voice behind me whispered.
I tried to ignore them I didn't want to miss anything the teacher was saying.
"Psst hey!" The voice whispered again.
I turned around glaring at them. "What do you want?"
It was a boy, he looked rather new. I was a wallflower and wallflowers knew everyone at the school we just didn't talk to anyone.
He was tall and muscular. He had tan skin and green eyes that stared into my soul. He had white teeth and a great smile. He was wearing a black jacket with blue jeans and black converse. His hair was brunette and messed up but looked good.
"Can you give this to Katie McCon." He said handing me a note.
"Passing notes in class are we Jason and...what's your name dear?" The teacher said scornfully.
"Jocelyn Rivers, ma'am." I replied back in almost a whisper.
It was typical like I said I was invisible inside this school.
"Well Ms. Rivers you can join Mr. Goulding in detention this Friday." She said with a wicked smile.
In all my life I have never gotten in trouble, I was a good kid did as I was told and soon as this guy talks to me I get in trouble. I was shook.
Jason let out a laugh.
"Something funny Mr. Goulding?" The teacher asked placing her hand on her hips.
"Just the fact that we were given detention for passing a note." He replied back bravely.
The class let out some laughs and worried looks.
Even though I just met Jason I could tell Jason was a bad kid. I try not to judge people, but when you disrespect a teacher your pretty much a bad person.
"Well that's the rules Mr. Goulding." She said crossing her arms. "If you have an issue you are welcome to leave to office to discuss it with the principal."
The class let out some awkward noises and gasps.
I on the other hand was playing it quiet.
"Gladly come on Jocelyn." He said getting up from his chair and grabbing my arm.
My heart was beating fast did he really think I was going to leave class with him because he wanted to leave?
Why was I being brought into this?
I couldn't speak words for some reason I got up from my chair and left with him.
My stomach was in knots. Why did I leave with him?
Soon as we got in the hallway I froze.
"Why did you bring me into this?" I said shakily.
He was half way down the hall when he turned back to me.
"I didn't you could have sat back down." He said sternly.
Rage filled my body. He was a complete jerk for making me look like a complete fool.
"You are a very rude man." I said pointing my finger at him."
He looked at me then laughed. My face went red with embarrassment never in my life have I raised my voice either. It was a weird feeling to raise my voice it felt weird.
"In guessing your the princess type huh?" Jason said with a smirk.
"No, for your information I'm not!" I lied.
I didn't want this creature thinking he knew anything about me. Sure I followed the rules and did as I was told but I was not a princess sometimes I got jiggy!
"Okay name one reckless thing you did then Rivers?" Jason said crossing his arms.
"Okay, one time me and my friend Summer smoked at the theatre club party last year." I said feeling proud of myself.
"Yeah Summer Clovedal right?" He asked.
"Yes that is her." I said squinting my eyes at him. "Why do you ask?"
"I ask because she told me about your guys little smoke break and how you cried and called your mom cause you didn't want to break her trust." He said with a laugh.
My face grew bright red. I was going to kill Summer for talking to this fool.
"I'll tell you this since your such a bad ass why don't you come with me to Katie's party tonight." He said with a smirk.
There was no way in hell I was going with this prick to a party.
"Goulding what you doing out of class bro?" Jake Sands asked.
Jason started walking towards him then turned to me.
"I'll pick you up at seven K." He said then leaving.
"No you won't I'm not going!" I yelled back.
He let out a chuckle and walked away.
My life was about to change and I knew it, I had a feeling that no matter how much I protested Jason was going to force me to go to this party.
"Ugh why did I have to listen to him and open my big fat mouth." I muttered to myself hitting my hand on my face.
I turned back to the class and opened the door.
"Ms. Rivers glad your back take your seat please." The teacher spoke angrily.
I quickly took my seat.
I thought being noticed was what I wanted but now it was the opposite what did Jason have in store for me on this "bad girl" role.
I let out a sigh and opened my notebook and began taking notes.
