Wendy and you walked back home from school. You are neighbors as long as you can remember, maybe that's because you were already neighbors when you were born... anyways ever since day one you are best friends and swore you would be best friends forever, so that's that.
It was Friday and on very Friday since you were 8 you two had a sleepover. It was always fun; teasing Wendy's brothers again; talking endless about the cutest boys on school; dreaming about being asked out by some of that boys. Wendy could skip the last one. Today she was asked on a date by James (A/N you can change the name if you want). You were happy and a bit jealous, but that comes always with it.
"Good afternoon, miss Darling." You said to Wendy's mom.
"Good afternoon Y/N." she said, but you and Wendy already went upstairs.
Time skip.
You woke up after a bad dream in the middle of the night. It was dark outside and Wendy's brothers were asleep. You looked over at Wendy's bed but she wasn't there.
"Wendy?" You whispered sitting up, "are you awake?" You looked around the room and saw Wendy sitting at the window ceiling.
"Y/N come over here." Wendy said gesturing you to come, so you did.
"Yes what's up?" You said looking at the night sky.
"Every night at this hour," Wendy said looking at you, "a shadow comes and takes me to a strange place called Never Land."
"What?" You said looking at her like she was crazy.
"It started happening 1 week ago the night after our sleepover. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you. He told me to keep it a secret." She said looking down. You had the rule to always tell each other everything.
"Who is he?" You said looking back at the night sky.
"Peter Pan, that's what he calls himself. He wants my brothers, Y/N. I'm scared." She said and a tear rolled down her face.
"He won't get your brothers Wendy I promise." You said and she hugged you tightly.
The two of you watched the night sky for a really long time. But then a shadow appeared not far from the window. You pushed Wendy behind you and screamed to the shadow: "you won't get them!" The shadow started only flying faster to the window. When he reached the window and his purple eyes met yours you couldn't move anymore. He grabbed Wendy her wrist and Wendy screamed and cried. With one last pull Wendy fall out of the window, luckily caught by the shadow.
Your friend was gone and it felt like it was all your fault. You didn't see her in 7 years, you were 17 now. In that 7 years you tried every single way to come to Wendy again. Nothing worked. You called for the shadow, believed in magic, you even went to the library and read every single book that exist about Never Land and Peter Pan to find a way to Never Land.
All the research made you lonely, people thought you were crazy. No one wanted to be any near close to you, not even your own parents. Wendy's parents blamed you that their daughter was gone. You ran away at the age of 15 and lived in a box under a bridge.
"I just wish you were back Wendy." You said and cried a very long time. Until you saw something in the night sky, it was shadow. You tried to catch it attention and it worked. The purple eyes met yours again and it grabbed your wrist. It pulled you up and took you up to the stars bridal style. The light of the stars became brighter and brighter until it was to strong and you closed your eyes.
You woke up laying on sand. You opened your eyes and saw a beach, the sea and a group of boys with swords and speeds pointing at you. Wait what?
"H-hello?" You said a little bit uncomfortable, "I'm-" you were cut of by a boy with bright green eyes, dressed in green, with brown hair.
"Y/N of course." He said looking down at you, "and you are a girl."
"Yes, yes I am." You said smirking, "and you must be a boy." The boy rolled his eyes and kneeled down.
"I'm Peter, Peter Pan." He said smirking.
"So you are Peter Pan?" You said looking deep in his eyes, "then Wendy Darling most be on this island."
"How do you know?" He said looking confused.
"Bring me to her." You said standing up and Pan gestured you to come with him.
You followed Pan through the woods for some time, until you reached a small camp. In the middle of it sad a girl, no older then 10, messy hair and a white night dress.
"W-Wendy?" You asked walking over to the girl, she looked confused at you, "it's me Y/N!" You hugged her tight.
"H-how?" She said looking at you, "you grew so much older."
"The Shadow took me. And 7 years past, what did you expect?" You said hugging her only tighter.
"7 years?" She gasped, "but I'm happy you're here."
"I'm happy too, and I'll stay with you, if you want to." You said letting go to look at the girl who didn't change a bit.
"Yes of course I want you to stay!"
