Author's Note: Hii! It's been a while since the last update lol. I just kinda lost motivation to continue the story even though I really wanted to...sorry :(

Anyways...I'm dedicating this chapter to one of my Best Friends: ProundBananaMonkey for inspiring me to write another chapter because of her story 'Just his Secretary' (you should go check it out btw!)

The next morning, we took the note to Uncle Marcus in hopes of decoding it somehow. He was still in his plaid pajamas when we rang the door-bell but we told him it was urgent.

Uncle Marcus lived in a small but comfy apartment. When you entered there was an all-white kitchen to the left. In front of the kitchen was a living room with an office desk and a black futon. To the right of the living room was Uncle Marcus's bedroom and that was his square home in a nutshell. Uncle Marcus always talked about owning a house with a pool and large backyard where he would BBQ on Sundays with his two huskies. His lifelong house goals were oddly specific but I guess everyone has different aspirations.

"What's up?", asked Uncle Marcus.

"Well...yesterday when Cole and I were looking for Jace Hayers, a man in a black suit and sunglasses came and spoke to him about something. We couldn't hear what they were saying but this note slipped out of his pocket".

[Note: $$ 13/5 548-2uilly ct. 19:15]

He studied the note for a while and then proceeded to his laptop, motioning for us to follow. Uncle Marcus had a very high-tech laptop: it was fingerprint coded, 4D holographic touchscreen and could be folded to the size of an SD card to fit almost anywhere. His job with the FBI definitely came with a few perks.

"It seems to be some kind of decrypted message, but it's not very hard to figure out once you get past the terrible handwriting," he stated.

"13/5 is the date, May 13th...which is next Saturday in fact. I assume the thieves aka the men in black suits are planning another robbery. That would explain the money symbols as well."

"19:15 is time, so around 7:15pm."

"Last but not least is this...address? [548-2uilly ct.] I think the 2 is just a cursive Q and when I searched it up, the computer gave me the location of a small-private owned clothing store that recently ran out of business...just last month. The place is vacant, I wonder what's going on there."

"It could be a hideout?" Cole suggested.

"Like robbery HQ" I added.

"Possibly but I think there's more to it. We should investigate further."

"We..?" I questioned.

"Yup I think you, Cole and the other two should check this case out too."

"WHAT! ARE YOU CRAZY?? THERE COULD BE OVER A DOZEN ARMED MEN IN THAT BUILDING AND YOU WANT US TO 'check the place out'?!"

"Uh-huh", Uncle Marcus nodded.

Cole gave me the "is-this-really-your-uncle-or-a-lunatic-look" while be both stared incredulously at him.

"Okay...it does seem a little 'dangerous' but I really need you guys-or girls-to do it. It's definitely not a one man's job and I think you two make a great team considering the information we got last week."

"But last week was just by chance and luck"

"Listen Nela, I can't contact any of my co-workers or teammates to join this case because then I wouldn't be able to get a promotion; only private cases get promotions. Don't worry though, I will have back up ready a phone call away if everything turns out completely wrong. I'll be directly involved this time, ok?"

"Fine" I let out with a sigh.

"Great, I'll see you two next Saturday at 6pm!"

*************************************************************************************************************

I dreaded this entire week from coming and today is finally the day: Saturday, May 13th.

Cole and I head over to Uncle Marcus's house, once again, at 6 o'clock sharp. I'm wearing a black leather jacket, gray skinny jeans and brown suede booties. Cole's outfit consists of a green bomber jacket, black skinny jeans and a pair of converse. We each carry pepper spray in our back pocket but I doubt it'll actually help us if it comes to that point.

"We're practically in the hands of thieves...great!" mumbled Cole.

"I think we'll make it out alive...hopefully", I assured her.

Uncle Marcus informed us of the plan. The empty thief building is located right next to a Nail Salon and Spa. It's surrounded mainly by houses but other quiet stores are in that small shopping complex as well.

"It's the perfect hideaway especially because the building is at the corner of the complex. They have no disturbances." said Uncle Marcus. "Since this area is relatively new, I know the walls of the shops are very thin. Construction workers nowadays try to save some cash by thinning the cement. Lucky for us because thin walls make it easier to eavesdrop."

"I guess that's a bonus", I mention.

"Yes but the thin walls aren't going to be enough to get the information we need. I want you and Cole to hide at the back of the Nail salon and record everything you see and hear. The men are going to come from the back because it's a direct giveaway something's going on if they enter through the front.

So, like I said, I need you and Cole to go in front of the abandoned building and then move to the back of the Nail Salon. I think there's some sort of patio at the back of the spa so hide there. Oh and I almost forgot! Here are some walkie-talkies, use them as needed. I'll follow you to the address but I'll be hidden in my car."

"Okay, let's go" I tell Cole while getting into my silver Acura rlx.

As we approached the building, my heartbeat increased x100 each second. I didn't know what to expect but I knew it wasn't going to be good. What if we get caught? Who will help us then? Would be even be alive? So many thoughts were running in the back of my mind. I could barely focus.

Cole and I made our way to the back of the Nail salon. Uncle Marcus was right. Sure enough,  four large black SUVs came and parked at the side street from the building. A few men dressed in black suits cautiously entered the empty building from the back entrance. Just as we ducked behind the walls of the patio, I was met with a pair of blue eyes from someone familiar.
