Kidlock

John's first day at reception class made him feel incredibly scared, John didn't know anyone there and was going to be seperated from his sister. His mum led him to the door, where he clung onto her hand nervously; an old woman with short blonde hair and a purple dress greeted Mrs Watson, and knelt down to John's level.

"Hello. I'm Mrs Hudson, and I will be you teacher this year." She smiled warmly, making John feel safer and happier. He waved goodbye to his mum, as Mrs Hudson sat the children down on the carpet. She began the register, everyone seeming to be here, until she reached 'H', where a boy called Sherlock Holmes did not reply. The small children looked around the classroon, when the doors swung open, and a child pulled in a younger boy with curly black hair.

"Ah, Mycroft. Thankyou for bringing him, now go to your classroom quickly." Mrs Hudson whispered, ushering him out. The boy with messy raven hair plodded over to a space next to John and slumped down. Mrs Hudson muttered about Sherlock, and ticked his name off. Once everyone was registered, Mrs Hudson let the children play for most of the day. John, curious about Sherlock, skipped over to him, who was sat on his own. He was clenching a teddy of a long brown animal, one John did not know.

"What's that?" John giggled, pointing to the toy. Sherlock looked up sadly with bright blue eyes, raven curls falling over his eyes. He seemed lonely, as if the toy he was holding was his only friend.

"It's an otter, of course, silly. It's my favwoute animal. What's your favwoute animal?"

"I like hedgehogs, and when I am older I want to be one!"

"I want to be a pirate-otter when I am older. We could be pirates together!" Sherlock smiled gleefully, standing up, "Here, where this!" Sherlock plopped a pirate hat on John's short hair, and gave him a small toy hedgehog. Sherlock grabbed a two swords and another hat, and handed John a foam sword; Sherlock placed the pirate hat on his curls and John and Sherlock fought together for the rest of the day. John and Sherlock no longer worried about friendship, as long as they had each other.
