My name is William, my best friends call me Will. I am 14 years old and I.... Don't know how to deal with people. I am one of those "Approach me because I don't want to approach you" kind of guy. I am what others consider a genius and I find it as a compliment. But whenever I say "Yeah I'm smart" people will start to think that I'm cocky or a show off. I just don't get those people but there was one person who truly understood me. Her name is Ellen and she's been my friend since grade 4. Whenever I feel alone she's always there to help me. Whenever I she sees me she says hi. Even if her friends say that I'm weird or anti-social, she would defend me. No matter how big my problem is she's always helping me. My life has would have been boring and lifeless without her. So I told her that "One day I will return all the kindness that you have given to me" when I said that she just laughed and said "You're being too corny but thanks anyways". One day that opportunity to help her and make her happy came. " Umm Will, can you keep a secret?" Obviously I said "Yeah what is it". "You see I actually like someone his name's Clive, he's a year older than us and he's really popular with the girls but I really Like him" Well I was shocked because after all these years Ellen finally found someone she likes. Well as a normal person would say "Your secret's safe with me" "I knew I could trust you" she said. Well at that point in time I already had a plan. For the first time in my whole entire life I will make the first move. I befriended Clive and we became closer friends even though I barely know him. I will try to manipulate Clive into liking Ellen. It might be bad but this is the only way for me to repay her. Well I need to ask Clive if he has a Girlfriend first after that it could go two ways. If he doesn't have a girlfriend then the plan is to talk about girls and transitioning to the girl that he likes. After that I would Transition to complimenting and saying good things about Ellen but I need to not make it too obvious that I'm making him like her. But If he does have a girlfriend then I could either leave them be and just tell Ellen that he already has a girlfriend or I could lead them to break up with each other. I mean if I could do that, it would only mean that their relationship is weak. And I should also make a backup plan before I could even think of a backup plan Clive suddenly approaches me. "Hey Clive, what do you need?" I said in a curious tone. He said "Ummm Can I talk to you in private" in a hollow and anxious way. Did he notice the plan... no no no that can't be I haven't even started the plan. "Listen... ummm... can I ask you a question?" he says in a nervous tone. I don't know what's happening so I just said "Yeah why not". "Ummm are you and Ellen together?". Wait could this mean that Clive has feelings for Ellen? Well if that's the case then I would be happy so I responded.... "Nope she's totally single". I was relieved and happy but before I can even smirk he replied. "Then would you please go out with me?" said Clive. Well that went bette...... "WAIT WHAT?!!"

I just realized that I shouted without thinking but what did he just say "I-I-I d-don't d-date guys" is what I said in a really embarrassed voice and before I knew it Clive Burst into laughter " Wahahahahahhahahah you fell for hahahahahhahah" he said while laughing. "Wait what do you mean fell for it?" I said with a very confused face. "Dude I was just busting your balls. I was just practicing" he said, while trying to suppress his laughter. I was furious I wanted to shout but I got curious when he said practice so I asked "What do you mean practice?" "Well I was planning on confessing to Ellen but I thought it would be better to inform you first since you two are the closer than two sticks glued together" he said in a very mature way. "Well go for it" I said. After a few days he finally did it and I had front row seats of the event. Ellen was really happy and looked at me in a way that looked like she was thanking me. Well we have been for 4 years now so it's no surprise that she knows what I can do. Well I didn't really do anything but befriend Clive so in the end it wasn't really me who made her happy..... it was Clive. But for some weird reason I feel sad.
