Real Persona

"HELP ME WILL!!" I quickly rushed out of my house and ran towards Ellen's house. While I was running my mind was..... Blank. I can't think of anything but Ellen. What could it be? What should I do if anything bad ever happened? Was this my fault? All these questions were present but I didn't have time to think. And when I arrived the thought of Ellen disappearing popped up. I quickly knocked on Ellen's house. He mother answered the door. I asked her "Hmmm good evening ma'am. Is Ellen here?" "Why yes, but her boyfriend just left" she replied. Wait, Clive? Does that mean....... "Is Ellen alright ma'am?" I replied in a concern way. I tried to mask it so that she would notice but I wasn't able to. "Well she was doing her project and it seems that she was having trouble so she called Clive." She replied in a cheerful way. That means that she wasn't able to read my words. "Umm could I speak her?" I asked. "Why not, I'll go tell her that you're here. Please come in." I came in and sat at the couch. I was thinking of a reason to call me this late. What does "HELP ME WILL" mean exactly? Her mom called me and said that I could enter her room. I was confused. As I enter the room, I notice that it was more of a mess than it was last week. I saw her at her desk with her headphones on. I asked her "What was the problem?" she didn't hear me. So I pulled the headphones of her ear and asked "What seems to be the problem miss Ellen" I said in a fancy and sarcastic way. "Well.... You see I need to pass this project tomorrow and Clive wasn't that much help either so I called you...... PLEASE HELP ME!!" She said it in a happy-go-lucky way. I felt a strong mix or annoyed and relief. "For crying out loud, don't scream "HELP ME WILL!!"For something simple as a project. I got worried you know." I said it while blushing. I admit that it was unmanly of me to blush but I couldn't really control it. "Sorry, didn't mean to worry you" She replied in a really sorry way. It's like she's genuinely sorry for making me worry. Well that is her Persona. She really is a caring person. I mean who would care for a person like me. I don't make that much friends and I sometimes give a cocky vibe. Well that's why I really like hanging out with her and she's not afraid to be herself. "WELP.... What's done is done so don't worry about it." I replied in a slightly relief way but can't really mask something like that. So we started working on the project. From time to time her mother would check on us and bring us some snacks. In the end I ended up sleeping at her house. I decided to wake up earlier than usual to have time to go back home and prepare for school. Even though I only had 3 hours of sleep, I regret nothing. I was able to be of help for once. But before I could even pull myself together I heard a phone ringing. It was Clive. Since Ellen's still sleeping and I don't want to interrupt her slumber so I answered it "Clive, Ellen's still sleeping, call her later." I said in a very groggy way. "Will?!, What are you doing with Ellen's phone?" he replied in a shocked and unsteady way. Well me still really groggy, didn't have the power to think of the situation so I replied out of reflex. "Well me and Ellen were working and stuff and I had to stay here for the night." "Wait what stuff?" he replied. I glanced at the clock and noticed that time was running fast so... "Anyways got to go, talk to you at school" and hung up. I quickly ran out the house with caution to not wake her family up. S I ran home and hoped to have more time. What a miracle. I was about to be marked absent but I had at least 1 minute to spare. At lunch Clive called me to the court. The court was empty as echoes of our footsteps filled the room. "So Clive, What do you want to talk about?" I asked in a mature but chill way. "Listen Will. Ellen's mine so could you please stop hanging out with her?" He replied with hostility being present. I could read his face. It has "BACK OFF PUNK" written all over it. Well I was shocked but since Germs already warned me, I wasn't that surprised. "Well I had a feeling that this might happen." I said in a very clever fashion. "Huh! Are you kidding? I was using you all this time and you say that now? Don't make me laugh" He said that with his fist ready to take action. Well it all makes sense since why would a popular athlete hang out with an outcast like me. Well I'm technically not an outcast but still close. "Well Clive, Just so you know. ELLEN's NOT A PROPERTY! If you think that I'm afraid right now then you're an IDIOT!" I replied in a mature but violent way. It's kinda fun doing this but it's not something I want to. "What Did You SAY, PUNK?!" He replied in a confused manner. It looks like he wasn't expecting that kind of response because his attempt on hiding his confusion is so bad that it was impossible to not read. "Well let's say you punch me right now. Do you think, your reputation would be the same? You're a role-model kind of student in the eyes of teachers and a lot of girls seem to like you so what would beating a social outcast and an honor student do to that reputation? And what would that do to your Girl Friend? Beating her best Friend would probably end your relationship. So what can C~L~I~V~E do exactly?" I replied. I could see that he was mad, no he was FURIOUS. He didn't a response that detailed and now he's down. He can't do anything. He was about to open his mouth but I gave him a smirk. I was in control. "Anyways, it was nice talking to you Clive, See yah" Well that was risky but I took it. I was kinda hoping for a more relaxing day but hey I was able to beat one of the most popular student in school using words. But I'm interested on what his next move is. I might've won the battle now but who knows what will happen in the war.
