Chapter 2

It was the bottom of the ninth, the Cubs were down 3-2. Kris Bryant just singled to right field with two outs putting Anthony Rizzo up. He was the winning run. That night he went 0-2, with two strikeouts, one of which was looking. Rizzo watched the first ball go down the middle for his first strike.

"What if they lose?" Colin yawned and I glared at him.

"Colin, I will punch you in the head!" I hissed, crossing my arms, sitting back in my seat as Rizzo took another strike putting him in an 0-2 hole.

"Billy, it's not that big of a de-" That when it happened. The crowd went silent as Rizzo bombed one to straight away center, leaving everyone in awe. His first home run of the 2016 season, a walk-off home run push the Cubs over the Reds, 5-3. I jumped up and followed the crowd in loud cheers, screaming, and yelling. As he rounded third, he glanced up the fans right behind the Cub's dugout and smiled, giving us a wink. "He made eye contact!" Colin smirked and I laughed, shaking my head.

"He was probably just looking at the thousands of people over here!" I sighed, and Colin shook his head.

"I don't know!" He sighed, looking into my eyes. The team shook hands and both organization found their way back to their dugouts. Colin made us wait to hear Anthony's interview with Sports Center. He walked out to the lady with a large grin on his face, putting on the headset.

"Hey Anthony, so how does it feel to help push your team to victory for your home opener for the 2016 season?" The lady smiled and Rizzo shook his head.

"It's amazing! An unreal feeling!" He smiled.

"What about pressure? Did you feel any getting up to the plate in the 9th with two outs, and going 0-2 on the night with two strikeouts?" Anthony shook his head, rubbing his face.

"Usually, I would but, today on the way in I ran into someone who told me that sometimes we have bad days, that we all have them and that as long as we don't get down about them, it's easy to recover! So, I took their advice and, well, it worked!" He laughed slightly and I froze.

"I TOLD YOU!" Colin laughed and I shook my head.

"No way!" I gasped and he just laughed, pushing me out of our row.

"I told you he made eye contact!" He smirked and I shook my head in awe, somehow managing to find my way out of the our section without falling.

"Oh my God!" I gulped, looking at Colin as he wrapped his arm around me.

"What did your dad always say? Go big or go home?" He smirked and I shook my head.

"Oh my God!" I mumbled as Colin guided me out of the stadium, saving me if I passed out from what I just discovered.
