Riley's POV
It was 24 hours since Alfie had told me about my boy. I couldn't stand it. He killed my son, my boy, my first and only child. And now he can do anything to me. Since I found out what happened, I haven't been able to do anything. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't speak, all I do is cry. When I first got here, I told myself I could do it, nothing he could do would scar me, that I'd find a way out, but I was wrong. He took the thing most important to me away, and now I can't stand, let alone try to escape. My son is dead. I keep saying that over and over in my head, I can't face the fact that it really happened. Alfie murdered my innocent baby. He's a monster. I herd footsteps, and looked up, seeing him walk towards me. He kneeled beside me, gently pulling me on his lap. Tears continued to stream down my face, and I buried my face in his chest, needing a form of comfort. I couldn't help but think about how whenever I was upset I use to do this to James. That made me cry more. He'll never know his son. And it's my fault. Alfie raised his hand, gently stroking my hair, making soothing noises. "It's okay Riles, you're gonna be okay." He said softly. I almost believed him. Almost. He pulled away from me, grabbing something from behind him. "You should eat. You haven't eaten since yesterday." He told me, placing a plate of food in front of me. I was surprised to see sushi on the plate, seeing as normally it was a small handful of salad, and some bread and butter. I stared at the plate, frozen. "Come on Riles, sushi is your favourite food. I know you wanna eat it." Alfie coaxed me. I sighed, giving in. He was right. Sushi is my favourite food, and I haven't been able to eat it because I was pregnant. I picked up a piece, assessing it for a second, seeing if there was anything visibly wrong with it, before placing it in my mouth. After swallowing, I slowly grabbed another piece, and another, and another, continuing to eat slowly, until I had finished it. Alfie smiled, rubbing my arm gently. "Feel better?" He asked. I nodded, looking down. I was still on his lap, his arms around me. It didn't feel right, him acting so sweet to me after torturing me for months. I still strongly despised him with everything in me, but right now I couldn't help it. I was on the verge of breaking, I just needed a small millisecond of comforting.
"A-Alfie." I stuttered slowly, speaking for the first time since finding out about my son.
"Yeah Riles?" He asked softly.
"W-when can I see my friends? And Em. I miss them." I spoke. He pulled me closer to him, holding me tight.
"Soon Ri, I promise." He answered. "I have to go, but I'll be back in a few hours." Alfie told me, standing up. "I love you." He called, before leaving to head outside, somewhere I hadn't been in a long time.••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I heard the heavy door scrap across the floor, opening. I watched the hall that lead to the door, waiting to see Alfie walk in, but I didn't. Instead there were around 3 men and 1 woman, all in police uniforms. I heard muffled voices come through the walkie talkies they had, and one of the men responding, saying something about finding me. The woman walked over slowly, kneeling down in front of me. "We're not gonna hurt you. We're here to help." She spoke softly, grabbing my hands and pulling me to my feet. Then I realized, this is it. I'm free.
