Chapter 14

Blake

I don't understand. Why? Why, would she want to leave? Alexandria seemed content last night. Then what happened? We were running in the woods with Alexandria on my back holding the bags while I ran in wolf form. As much as I don't want to do this with Alexandria is pregnant, I don't want her to leave again, so she gave me no choice.

"Blake, there is a cave coming up, go in there and we're going to rest for the night." Alexandria whispered in while clinging to my fur but I could hear her clearly. I kept going south for about twenty minutes then I saw the cave, and I ran in there as fast as I could since it was starting to rain. Alexandria got off my back and took my clothes out of the bag while I shifted.

Alexandria started putting a fire together while I put my clothes on. "There's food in the bag get it out so we can eat before going to sleep." I nodded taking the food out of the bag. Alexandria soon got the fire together and we were huddled around the fire with my arms around my mate, my mate that was carrying my pup in her stomach.

My hands moved from where they were around her shoulders to her stomach and I rubbed as if I could feel it. "It's a boy." Alexandria whispered. i could barely hear her even with my heightened hearing, but I did hear what she said. "What? How do you know?" I asked feeling excited. I'm going to have a son! Alexandria turned to me, her eyes glistening with love and adoration. "I had a dream."

I was confused. A dream? About what? I voiced my thoughts. "Awhile ago I had a dream that we had a son. That's how I knew that it was a boy." I was shocked, did she have that dream before she left? Is that why she left? Before I could ask she said, "It's getting late, we should get some rest so we could continue going." Alexandria said starting to lay down, using the bag as a pillow.

"I'm going to go patrol around." I said starting to walk outside. When Alexandria's voice stopped me, "Wait, you don't have to go. We'll be safe. Just come back and lie down, Blake." She started pulling me until i laid down. Alexandria ran her fingers through my hair until I fell asleep.

I woke up to hearing my beautiful mate humming a song. "Ah, you're awake. Let's get going we're almost there." Alexandria was packing everything. I noticed her stomach getting a little bump. Since I'm a werewolf and Alexandria is part werewolf then the pregnancy will last about 6 months. "Where are we going? I thought we were supposed to just keep going for a couple weeks then head back." I walked over to Alexandria and kissed her on the lips then I bent down and gave her stomach a little kiss. She giggled. "No, there's a village not far from here. We'll be safe there. It won't take long to get there, maybe about 3 hours if you're in wolf form."

"Alright, wait. What did you mean by safe?" I caught what she said. Her eyes widened when she realized that I caught her. "Alexandria, what are you saying? What do you mean by being safe?" I growled. She let out a defeated sigh and her shoulders dropped in defeat. "My father is coming and he wants to hurt us and possibly take our son." She put her hand on her stomach in a protective way. I growled, I could feel my wolf surfacing. My mate and my pup is being threatened and he wants to protect them. "That's why we have to go to the village. It's protected by your mothers magic. Now don't be angry, I'm taking care of it. Now, we have to get going." I was hesitate but I nodded and shifted. Alexandria got rid of any trace of us being there and grabbed our bags and climbed on my back and I started running following the directions that Alexandria was giving me.

During the whole time I could feel her baby bump on my back and I was hoping that we weren't hurting the baby by running. After a couple hours of running we made it to the village. When Alexandria got off my back I heard a male voice. "Alex! Welcome back!"

Finally! I got this chapter out. I've been working on this for hours and I know it's crappy but I had some trouble with writing this.
