Auriga and Orion got word that the prime minister was in town. They were both very excited to find out why he was here.
"Maybe he is here to announce a solution." Auriga suggested
"I hope so." Orion replied. Orion was never very confident. He dreamed of flying away to another planet and living there. He dreamed of earth before it was destroyed. He'd seen pictures or magnificent towers called skyscrapers and happy people that had healthy air to breathe. Then he looked around and saw none of the above. What he saw saddened him greatly. Remains of buildings and monuments, black skies, toxic waste, and the sad remaining people of earth.
Auriga and Orion had been sitting in the cement living room for quite some time listening to the radio and playing monopoly. Televisions stopped working in 4707 A.D. when they were only 4. They were startled when a knock on the door interrupted their game.
"Be careful Orion, it might be a Skavinjer." Auriga said nervously. Orion opened the door and went wide-eyed. It was the Prime Minister! This had to be some sort of mistake.
"Hello Orion," he said with a smile on his face, "May we come in?" He asked.
"O- of course!" he replied. Orion stepped aside and let them through. He recognized the second man by the markings on his face. He was Teddifer, the Prime Minister's most trusted secretary. "You may call me Adaam." He said.
"Would you like something to drink?" Orion asked.
"Water please"
Orion walked into the kitchen. His family was sitting at the table eating breakfast. As Orion filled up the cup, his mother began to speak. "Who's here?" she asked.
"The Prime Minister." He replied.
