Orion Kelledor sat in the back of the elegant MonoLev, and watched the passing land. They had been in Mordeilia, (What used to be California), And were now somewhere in Lochetta. Lochetta used to be called South Dakota. All the countries had turned into one big peice of land towards the fall of the Governments in 3007. Every country still kept it's borders, but were now states. The bigger countries such as Russia were diveded into small sections.
As the MonoLev sped through a thick forest, Orion began to see lights in the distance. The Capytil. The last turn came and they pulled into a grand station. It was sunset when they arrived. He's heard that it was the only place in the world that was always twilight, but there's some pretty grand rumors.
As Adaam stepped forwards and off onto the platform, he turned and helped the family out one by one. "Tonight, you shall dine with the fancies of every corner of the world!" he announced. As they walked down the concrete stairs of the station, Orion felt an eerie feeling. As if someone was watching. He felt this way all the way to the Frikit. The Frikit was the most grand building in the Capytil. It was home to the Prime Minister. If Orion were to even begin to guess what building it used to be, he'd guess the Capitol building. Of course, that was obliterated almost 3,204 years ago.
When they finally stepped inside the golden doors of the Frikit, everyone took off their BreatheWare and handed it to the wall, who absorbed it like water and a sponge. As they were getting the grand tour, Orion saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was a screen. He just barely saw it throught the crack in the door, but when he saw the whole thing, he had a pit in his stomach that would not be tamed. It was him. He was looking at a screen of himself, looking at a screen of himself etc... Thats when it hit him. They were broadcasting this for the whole world to see! It felt like he was being violated. He understood people wanted to know about him, but the least they could've done was tell him. The feeling of violation subsided and turned into a bit of shock and realization that he have these people hope.
"I see you've found out about the broadcast, eh?" Adaam said from out of nowhere. "I can assure you, they only show big moments. They're never on when you don't want them to be."
"That's good... I guess" Orion said.
"We should catch up to the group. It's almost time for supper." Adaam said. His voice was calming. Smooth like butter. He had a sadness in his eyes. Orion couldn't quite place it. Just then, a loud gong echoed through the grand halls of the Frikit.
