Once in a lifetime chance

hi. . .i'm a newbie here. . .just want to share a short story of my friend. . .her name is aica. . .

aica is a good friend of mine. . .we've known each other for about a two decades. . .she's my childhood friend. . .i just want to share her love story that leads me to feel pity for her and give her a comfort zone to ease the pain. . .

the story starts here. . .

at highschool aica is an intelligent and talented girl. she use to be the most outstanding and best in non-academic activities. she's a very a competitive person yet partly sweet with incomes to her friends specially with me.

one day she texted me to come with her and join her jogged at the oval park. i replied "sure! what time?" a quick responsed from her "5am sharp see you there!" i answered "ok see yeah".

the sun is up and i start to freak out, i forgot to wake up early and forgot that aica asked me to jogged with her. i check my phone and saw 10+ sms and 20 miscall. i texted her as soon as i saw my notification.

me: aica im sorry i forgot to set my alarm clock. please for give me.

aica: have you read my text??? :-)

me: nope why?? what's with the smiley icon??

aica: just check it out!! :-) :-) :-)

me: okie. . . o_O

i read her texts . . .

aica: *gud morning bff!

        *im all set!!!

        *where were you???

        *you forget to set the alarm aain dont you??? :-[

        *OMG!! i bumped with a super duper hearthrob looking guy to day!!! this might be my lucky day bff!!

        *JACKPOT!!! my heart is melting he invites me for a coffee. . .sweet!

        *oOops this is a major major event of my life, having a coffee with a super cute guy. . .they envy me!!

        *bff you lost your chance! im crazy in love with this cool guy. . .hope you could see us.

        *we exchange nos. bff yehey hope too see him again. probably thats destiny.

        *ahhhhh. . .see you later i detail you everything. . .

i texted her:

me: now i get it. . .so where were you now??

the doorbell rangs Ding! Dong!

when i open the door its aica!!!

"bff you wont believe what just happen this morning. . .its so a dreamlike event that mostly happens at movies and novels. shit!!! i cant wait to see him again!."

i replied: "huh?! are you out of your mind??? i know this is such a romantic incident but dont you think he's still a stranger for you and me?? and how sure are you that you'll meet him again?!"

she answered "it will be tomorrow he just texted me. we jogged tomorrow same time, same place. would you mind to come??"

i replied: "are you sure with this?? remember he's still a stranger!"

she answered: "not to me. . .he's perfectly my angel in disguise. my destiny!!"

i replied: "crazy!!"

the next day . . .

we jogged and meet the guy at the oval park his name is stephen. he's handsome, tall, dark complexion, good body shape, and nicely fit. he talks flowery, might me a playboy type guy i guess.

after jogging. . .

he invites us to have a cup of coffee. . .i resist to join but he insist. he is new in town and he wants to make friends with his new environment. i see his intention is good so i join them to have a cup of coffee. . .he surely know how to make a casual and funny talks. . .now i dont have doubts why aica likes him so much. . .after having a coffee. . .i go first so that aica could enjoy stephen very well.

when i got home i receive a sms from aica

aica: bff thanks for going out first. . .i got a great time chichat with him. im so crazy about him i cant stop looking to his face his so perfect! muapz!! text me when you got home."

i replied: "JGH enjoy his nice."

days passed by and all i could ever hear her story is all about stephen. sometimes i got so annoyed but i understand.

one day aica asked me if she could borrow a pretty simple dress and can i do the make up and hairstyle for her date. i had a thought that maybe stephen and her got a good bond thats why they end up dating so i said "yea sure. what time?"

and she replied "after i take a bath i'll go there and give me some magic. i'll ask him to me there at 8 pm so lets do this."

i answered: "okie chill dont rush things up. just be yourself"

at 8pm he fetch her at my house and guess?? what happened???

he finally asked her to be his girlfriend. (imagine a fine dining, garden place with matching white roses and twinkling lights around them and suddenly propose to be his girl is the most romantic proposal a guy could do)

days, months and almost a year passed and a happy couple they was. . .but things change when they turned 2 and a half years. . .stephen got in hospital for a couple of months because of being diagnose having leukemia ( cancer in blood ). . .

aica asked her parents if she could stopped for her college degree for one year to spare enough time with stephen. her parents agree because they are legal and her parents know how nice and a good person stephen is.

she spend her time taking good care of his boyfriend. though i see how hard she's been going through i support her for being the bestfriend that im proud her to be. . .and i cant imagine how she can manage to be strong enough to bare what she is in to. i do visit them as often as i can send them food, fruits and fresh flowers as a support for the time they been going through. i see how love works with them. . .its like magic in disguise. . .

after a year stephen is healed and fine to go off the hospital. stephen suggest aica if they can be married cause his afraid that he could lose her. aica agree and so do i. . .(as a bff). stephen planned to let their parents talk though they are on age and well enough to manage themselves. both sides agree that they can be married after aica graduates. so they waited a year and a half and finally got married. (asusual im the maid of honor.)

5 fruithful years worth loving they was, had a twin child one boy and one girl (aivan and stephanie) a perfect family they have yet things ended up miserably.

stephen got diagnose having cancer again. aica loses her hope in having more years with stephen. i tried to accompany her in the hospital, guardian her kids while their in the hospital but stephen end up worst. and doctors started to lose hope.

after one year stephen died. aica asked me once why God is so unfair?? i told her maybe God have some others ways and plans for you.

one day aica texted me if i could looked for her kids for a while since im not busy i answered: "sure drop them ir at my house."

when they got there aica fainted.

i brought her to the hospital right away. after the check up. the doctor said: "you are 4 months pregnant aren't you aware of that?" and suddenly aica looked at me and said i guess this is what God had planned for me, losing him for a chance to born a new him.
