"So, you like to sing?" Namjoon asked you in fluent English at the meet-and-greet, looking up from the paper he was signing.

You nodded shyly, blushing a bit at the attention your bias was giving you. "Yeah. When I was little, my dream was to become a famous singer."

"What about now?"

"Well, I know that's not going to happen. My parents won't let me anyway. I'm aiming to become a scientist or something." You looked up at Namjoon, who was studying you curiously. You blushed again. "It's not like I've got the talent to sing well anyway. Unlike you. You sing very well, even though you're, well, Rap Monster."

"Oh thanks." Namjoon looked surprisingly pleased. "Can I hear you sing a few bars or something? Like the chorus of a song?"

You blinked in surprise, suddenly self-conscious. "Um, I'm not really good," you said.

"It's okay. No one's going to hear you in this crowd." Namjoon smiled warmly at you and gestured at the loud fans around you. "Just a few bars. It could be English. Please?"

How could you say no to your bias? Especially when he was smiling at you like that, and making you melt inside. Blushing like crazy, you muttered okay. Namjoon leaned in to hear you better as you began to sing softly.

You decided to sing BTS's "Save Me", because you wanted to low-key convey how much you loved your bias and how you needed his love. Your voice wavered at first, but soon gained strength as you sang the chorus, pouring all that you had in it. Namjoon listened intently, a smile playing at his lips. When you finished, you looked up at him, embarrassed.

"Sorry it wasn't that good," you apologized, flushing pink. "My Korean, as you can tell, isn't really good."

"No, no, it was amazing!" Namjoon said earnestly, looking at you. "You sing really well, _________. And your Korean sounds very fluent." Hearing these compliments only made you more embarrassed, as you bit your bottom lip and could only smile shyly at Namjoon. Namjoon, on the other hand, could only think how adorable you looked when you smiled like that, and couldn't help grinning back at you. Your gazes locked, and you couldn't tear your eyes away...

All too soon, it was the next fan's turn. Namjoon shook your hand as you stood. "It's was so nice meeting you! And I hope you pursue your dream of becoming a singer—you really do sing well." He handed you your paper back and winked. You felt your knees go weak and almost tripped. Why did he have to be so attractive?! Namjoon waved goodbye as the next fan approached and you left. Looking down at the light blue stationary in your hand you saw a simple message written in Namjoon's cursive handwriting: I believe in you! Keep singing, followed by his loopy signature. Instantly, you felt nice and warm inside, grinning like an idiot down at that simple piece of paper.

"_______! How did meeting Rap Mon go?" Your best friend skidded to a halt next to you, having just returned from meeting her bias, Jungkook. You made a series of squeaky noises, trying to convey your feelings.

"Yasssss, same girl, same. I can't even talk right now." She sighed dreamily and looked at you. "Want to get food? I'm hungry."

"Sure, let me put this away first." As you folded the paper to put away safely, something drifted to the floor.

"What's that?" Your best friend bent and picked up the half sheet of paper. "Is this yours?"

"No," you answered, confused. "What is it?"

"It says, 'Sing with the Stars Singing Contest'," your best friend read off. "'Everyone is welcome to try out for a chance to sing with famous kpop idols! Included are Rap Monster from BTS, Choi Youngjae from Got7, and Yuju from Gfriend!' Hey, do you think Rap Monster slipped it to you when he handed back that message?"
