December 2nd:

-Rosie's Point Of View-

Today we're going to buy a tree. But not just buy a tree, Tony decided it would be fun to go out and chop down our own tree. And carry back the tree to the truck Tony bought JUST so we could get the tree back to the tower.
"Where are my mom and dad?" Hazel asks, before getting into the elevator to go the bottom floor. "Bucky, Wanda, and your parents already went down to the car." Emerson says. Chase, Hazel, Harper, Emerson, Tony, Steve, and myself get into the elevator (yes, it's a large elevator.) to go down the bottom floor. The kids (including myself) are going in a car with Bucky, while everyone else is going in the truck. Of course we're going with Bucky, seeing as he's the fun one.
The elevator dings, and we step out. "See you kids there." Steve says, as we walk out the entrance. "How long is the drive again, Tony? To this tree farm or whatever." Hazel asks. "Like 1 and a half hours. Seeing as we live in the middle of a CITY." Tony says. "No, really, I never could have guessed we live in a city." Hazel says rolling her eyes before climbing into the back of the car with Emerson and Chase. Harper and I sit in the middle row.
"Bucky, when was the last time you drove a car?" Harper asks. "Oh come on, I've driven a car recently. I just did last week. We're not gonna die." He says. "Just checking."

-Hazel's Point Of View-

After 1 hour and 1/2 of Christmas songs, annoying puns (thank to Bucky), and a few missed turns, we finally made it to the farm.
The building is a small cabin, decorated with fairy lights and wreathes. Tony walks out of the building, carrying an axe over his shoulder.
We follow Tony through a trail in the woods, the find the perfect tree. "Aren't you cold?" Emerson asks me, as we hike through the snow. "Yes." I say, with a laugh, followed by a cough. "Your gonna get sick." Emerson says wrapping his arm around me, pulling him closer to me. "It's my own fault. I forgot my scarf and gloves as the tower." I say. "After this, we'll go back to the tower and watch Christmas movies. And then tomorrow, we'll decorate the tree, if we can ever find one." Emerson says, taking off his gloves and putting them onto my, very small, hands. "That sounds like fun." I say smiling.

     "There it is!" Tony says

"There it is!" Tony says. We all stop to see. A big evergreen tree, seeming to be 25ft tall. Would I dare say, it's Perfect.
'In beauty green will always grow
Through summer sun and winter snow.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!'

Tony (with some help from Steve) chops down the tree. The snow blows up from under the tree as it hits the ground. It barely makes a sound from the plush snow underneath it.
Tony, Steve, and Bucky carry the tree back down the trail and hoist it up on the truck. "Oh my gosh it's so freaking cold." I say, before shoving my face into Emerson's shoulder, hiding my face from the cold air. "I saw a little cafe that we passed on the road a few miles back. How about we stop for hot chocolate?" Wanda suggest. She always has the best ideas. "Yes! Let's do it! I'm cold!" Rosie says before climbing back into the car, just as the boys finish securing the tree onto the truck.
__________
The bells on the door jingle as we all file into the small, empty cafe. An elderly lady smiles to us from the back of the cash register. "Hello. You all sure do look cold." She says. "We are. It's really cold out there." Harper says. Emerson, Rosie, Harper, Chase, and myself sit down at a booth together while the rest sit at a long table. "What can I get for you all today?" The lady asks us. "11 got chocolates, please." Wanda says. "Of course, I should have guessed." The lady smiles, before heading back into the kitchen.
Faint Christmas music can be heard behind everyone's talking, and the room smells of evergreen.
"Hazel, your hands are still shaking." Rosie says, looking down at my hands as they rest on the table. "Really? I couldn't tell." I say with a shaky laugh, seeing as I'm STILL cold. "I can't wait to get back and watch Christmas movies." Harper says. Emerson takes my hands and wraps his hands around them to warm mine up. "We can watch Polar Express. It's my favorite." I say. "Orrrrr Frosty, seeing as it's the best Christmas movie." Rosie says. "Excuse me, no, that would be the Polar Express." I say. Before the fight gets 'too violent' the lady walks out with our hot chocolates sitting on trays.

__________ "How about we come to a compromise, and watch Rudolph?" Chase suggests

"How about we come to a compromise, and watch Rudolph?" Chase suggests. "Fine, but tomorrow is Polar Express." I say. "No, tomorrow is Frosty." Rosie says. "Both of you just shut up and eat some cookies." Bucky says. "You need some Christmas spirit!" I say to Bucky. "That's right!" Rosie says. "Finally something you both can agree on...." Bucky says. Rosie and smile at each other before Chase turns the movie. Emerson and I sit on on the couch , while Harper and Rosie sit on the floor with blankets and pillows from their rooms. Pepper, Wanda, Bucky, Peter, Sam, and Jane are scattered around the other couches and recliners as we watch the movie.
I rest my head on Emerson's shoulder, as the movies comes close to an end, and I drift off to sleep.
