The bell rings and Miss. Barken gets up to start the lesson. I notice Anthony staring at me. I look over and he tries to act like he wasn't totally staring me down.

I open my book and start to read the pages that were assigned.

Miss.Barken comes over to greet Anthony. "Hello Anthony, welcome to our school."

He replies, "Thank you Miss. Barken."

She walks back up to her desk to work on papers.

I look over at Anthony and he looks up at me. "Hey Anthony, so do you want to sit with me at lunch?"

"Yes, thank you!"

The classes went by and lunch rolled around. I told Anthony to wait for me and I would find him.

I found him standing beside the biggest whore in the school, Carly Davis.

She was flirting with him, and he seemed to be interested in her. I walk over and greet him nicely, trying not to show my hatred for Carly.

"Anthony would you like to go sit down?"

He nodded.

We head to the table and sit down. I spoke up, "don't talk to Carly, she will wrap her finger around you, have sex with you, and dump your ass."

He looks shocked. "Wow, didn't think such strong words could come out of that pretty little mouth of yours."

"Well Anthony.. Tell me a little about you."

He hesitates but starts, "Well I moved here from Wyoming, with my dad and sister."

"Country boy now are you?"

He chuckles, "I have two horses, Maverick and Patches, too."

"Oh nice, I want to meet them sometime."

"Maybe sometime."

The bell rings and I head to my eight period class.

The day goes by in a blur and before I know it I am headed out to my car going to be heading home.

I arrive home, and once I pull into the driveway I just know something is not right. I bolt from my car to the front door.

I unlock the door and there she is, lying on the floor with a needle injected into her thigh.

Kaylee was there lifeless all spread out on the old beaten kitchen floor. I ran to her and tried shaking her to bring her back to me.

I shook and shook her, but nothing seemed to wake her.

She overdosed.
