I woke up to the annoying buzzing of my alarm clock, I groaned in response to the spawn of Satan. whoever invented these things has a special place in hell along with it. I was excited, but nervous. I've never been to an anime convention, and better yet, never been anywhere with a guy. I'm not really the type of girl that had many friends at school, the small group of 4 was enough for me.

I got out of bed, I have a couple of hours to get ready. I ran a bath. it was around 10 past 10. I washed myself and got out, checking the time i roughly had 10 minutes to get ready. I put on my outfit and teased my hair a little to give it volume. As i was spraying on some perfume there was a knock on the door.

I opened the door, "Hi. Can I help you?" The guy just giggled in response. I was getting increasingly annoyed and I knew he could see it, with a giggle behind his tone he replied, "It's me, Michael. I'm in disguise." I looked at him with a questioning look, "Why?" was really all I could ask. He laughed again, "because people might recognizeme. You won't like what happens when people realize who I am. It's a sea of crazies. " I nodded, "If you say so." I picked up my ticket to get in the convention, "I do so."

We went down to a black car with black tinted out windows. A man opened the car door for us, "laies first." Michael said. I smiled and got in. I buckled my seat belt. Finally we were off. The city of Tokyo is very busy, so, naturally a journey that should only take 25 minutes very quickly stretched to an hour. but finally, we were here. 18 years, 3 months, 24 days I have waited to come to my first convention. Not that I was counting.

Michael got out and kept the door open for me. I got out and thanked him. I began to get nervous, people, so many people. We walked up to the main doors, a door man asked for out tickets and Michael handed them over. We were given the all good and went in. "it feels so good to be on the other side of those doors." I nodded. I turned my head right and saw a Japanese anime magazine stand. Quickly grabbing Michael's hand I d-toured us to it. I got out my Japanese language book. Lets see if this communication barrier will break.

Nope, it did not break. I only wanted one magazine as asouvenir. I ended up leaving with a years subscription costing $31.95* I continued in the convention for a good 4 hours. Michael bought himself stuff too. I got to the stand that was having a presentation the new Final Fantasy. Me sitting there with my Japanese language book trying desperately to follow the CEO's speech on the new game. The only thing I got out of it was the year it was coming out. I don't know what platform, or platforms, it will be on. Do I have to get a new console just to play this?

After 6 hours walking around this Convention, and a whole lot of merchandise I now have to try ship home, we call it quit's for the night. Michael turned to me, "That was fun right? You should of seen you at that presentation trying to follow that CEO's talk on that new game. Him speaking, you flipping through the pages angrily whispering, 'What is he saying!' Then people turning and looking at you funny." He ended laughing. I couldn't help but laugh to. His laugh is contagious. I nodded, " Yeah, I had fun today. Thank you, Michael. You didn't need to do this for me. I don't think I would of went anyway. I'm not really good around crowds." He nodded, "Me also. If you ever need anyone to go anywhere with you. I will. In a heartbeat." I smiled.

We were in the car going back to the hotel again when i remembered something, "Michael." He turned with that permanent smile on his face, "Yeah, Sparks." I thought for a second, "You never told me why you wore a disguise today. You said people will notice you but why will they notice you? Are you in some gang?" He sighed, "Sparky, do you know who I am? Who I am to the rest of the world?" "Not really. I don't even really know you. I only met you yesterday."

"To the rest of the world I'm Michael Jackson. You could ask anyone in any country; Have you ever heard of Michael Jackson. They'll say yes." I looked at him, "I don't. I do not know a Michael Jackson. Is that bad? what does this 'Michael Jackson' do? Show me, I wanna see. I wanna see this other Michael, the Michael I don't know. The one the rest of the world knows." He smiled, "Okay. When my next tour kicks off I'll take you to a show and you'll see." I nodded.

We continued our journey back to the hotel in a comfortable silence.
