aaron woke up to the usual sound of her sister, lorelai's, annoying voice. she looked over at the clock, noticing that she should have been up a half hour earlier.

this didn't phase the girl, as she still had an hour and a half until her shift started at lewes' coffeeshop.

yes, this did mean that it was 4:30 in the morning, and yes, this was the time she woke up every day.

she showered quickly and put on her work attire; a plain black shirt and black jeans. she tied the apron around her neck and blow dried her hair.

by the time she was finished getting ready, she had just enough time to eat the chocolate chip pancakes that lorelai almost never made.

cheerily, she bid her sister adu and walked to her car.

aaron lived on the other side of town from where she worked, and she hated it. it took her a long time to get there, and if she was being honest, living with her sister was hell.

she was just waiting to save enough money to get her own place. or waiting to get the nerve to tell lorelai she wanted to move out. whichever one came first really.

by the time aaron got to work, she was 5 minutes late, and apologized to lewes, her boss, and he shook his head.

lewes never liked aaron. the only reason she got the job was because she had practically begged him to, and if she did anything wrong, he would be quick to fire her. so she made sure everything she did was perfect.

on that day, she didn't expect such a handsome boy to walk in the coffee shop. if she was in high school she would have called it love at first sight.

he wanted a coffee with 2 milk, 4 sugar.

she tried joking with him, and then wound up paying for his coffee. oh well, it wasn't that much, she thought to herself, although knowing that the coffee there was overpriced.

she sighed and got back to work, a smile wide on her face thanks to the strange boy with the mop of curls on his head.

she remembered his glasses, how they were round and framed his hollowed cheeks and brought out the green in his hazel eyes.

the entire day, when she was taking orders, she would imagine them as the boy and her cheeks would redden.

by the time her shift ended, it seemed as if the day went by quickly, which never happened.

by the time she had gotten home, it was 11pm, and she changed her clothes and went underneath her covers.

all she hoped for, was that the boy would come back for another coffee tomorrow.
