You've always been the one

Hello Ian

"Wake up" Veronica shakes me.
I open my eyes to see that we are at L.A.X. I quickly get up and exit the plane along with Veronica. We go get our bags then go look for our friend Maya.

Maya was one of my closest friends in high school, she moved to Cali with her sister once we graduated. We were going to stay with her this weekend.

"OMG!!! Maya!!!" Me and Veronica scream as we run to her and hug her.

"Oh my gosh guys it's been forever!" She says as we walk out of the airport.

"I know we've missed you so much." Veronica says to her.

"So you and Jason together yet?" She asks as she nudges me.

"No, and we are never going to be together." I say a little annoyed.

"Never say never" she says.

"Are you really quoting Justin Bieber?" I say pointing out her reference.

"Yup" she says popping the 'p'

I just shake my head and laugh.

We hop into the car and drive off to her apartment. We just spend the whole drive catching up since we haven't seen each other in like 2 years.

Once we get to her place we chill for a little then we go out to the hall of fame to walk around a little.

After a while of walking I get a text from my mom: hey I just want to let you know that your brother got arrested and his court is on Tuesday. Just wanted to let you know so you wouldn't hear from anyone else.

I really didn't know how to respond to that so I just ignored it.

I wanted to be alone for a while so I told Veronica and Maya that I was going to go walk for a while and that I'd call them if I needed them to pick me up. They said ok and went their own way.

I've never been in LA so I didn't really know where to go. So I just started walking down some random road. I soon approached a Jamba Juice so I decided to go in and get something. I ordered and sat down at a table outside.

While I was thinking about my brother a random guy sat down next to me. I didn't know if he was some crazy guy so I just kept looking down. Until he spoke.

"Hey, I'm Ian." He said

I looked up and saw a tall dark haired guy with pretty eyes.

"Uh, hi, I'm Lilimar." I stuttered

"Nice to meet you. Are you new around here?" He asked.

"Umm yeah just visiting a friend." I answered.

"Oh cool. You look a little lost." He said as he saw me looking really confused.

"Yeah I kinda am, I needed some air and I guess I took a random turn and ended up here." I told him.

"Well maybe I can help you get where you need to be?"

I really didn't want to go back yet and I was feeling a bit intrigued by this Ian guy so I decided to be spontaneous.

"Actually I don't really want to go back yet. How about maybe you show me around a little?" I asked trying to flirt.

"Umm yeah sure, what do you want to see?" He asked.

"How about the beach!" I said a little to over excited.

"Ok perfect there's one near by." He said

I've always wanted to go to a beach in California, they're always so warm unlike the ones in Oregon that are always cold. 

"You seem a little to excited to be going to the beach. Is this your first time?" He asks

"No, it's just I've always wanted to come to a beach in Cali, they seem so much more cool than the ones from Oregon." I explain.

"Oh so you're from Oregon?"

"Yup, born and raised."

"I've always wanted to visit and go hiking there." He tells me.

"Well you should come sometime, it's really beautiful." I say.

"I bet, but probably not as beautiful as you." He says and I start to blush.

I don't really know how to respond to that so I just giggle.
