A young girl with pale skin, dressed in a soft pink floral frock, soared through the sky with wings that glittered in the moonlight. She reached out, capturing fireflies and stars, placing them delicately into her jar. She had nearly filled it when—

Ba ba ba ba ba na na... ba ba ba na na na bananaaa (Minion song)
Potato nah bananhhh... Good morning!

Nandini shot awake, her dream shattered by the obnoxious sound of her Minion alarm clock. Groaning, she rubbed her eyes and threw a glare at the clock as if it was personally responsible for ruining her moment. She sighed, then glanced outside the window, trying to hold on to the fading image of her dream.

Just as she began to relax, her eyes landed on the clock again. 7:15 AM.

"Oh, crap!" she shouted, leaping out of bed. She sprinted across the hall to her sister's room, shouting, "Mukti! Mukti!"

Without hesitation, she jumped right onto Mukti's bed, bouncing as she landed, full of energy.

Mukti groaned, her head buried under a pillow. "Nandini... get off!"

Nandini grinned, pulling the pillow away. "We're late!" she announced, clearly enjoying herself.

Mukti sat up abruptly, hair a mess, blinking at the clock. "What?! Why didn't you wake me up sooner?!"

"Because watching you sleep is like watching a grumpy bear hibernate," Nandini teased, dodging the pillow Mukti threw at her. "Besides, I thought you'd enjoy the extra 10 minutes."

"Right," Mukti muttered, but she couldn't help smirking. She got out of bed and started grabbing her clothes. "Last time I let you wake me up."

"You love it," Nandini said, flopping back onto the bed, watching Mukti scramble. "Remember that time we overslept and had to scale the school gate? You're still mad about that."

Flashback

They had been in a mad rush that morning, arriving at school just in time to find the gates locked. Nandini, ever the risk-taker, had immediately started climbing the gate. Mukti stood frozen on the other side, unsure.

"Come on!" Nandini had whispered from the top of the gate, waving her hand. "It's easy!"

Mukti reluctantly climbed up but froze at the top.

"Jump!" Nandini called out, encouraging her.

Mukti jumped, but instead of landing gracefully, she toppled directly onto Nandini, knocking both of them to the ground. They lay in a heap, struggling to contain their laughter as they realized no one had seen them.

Flashback ends

Mukti snorted at the memory. "Yeah, thanks for that. I could've broken a bone."

"But you didn't," Nandini said with a cheeky grin, tossing a pillow back at Mukti. "It was fine!"

Mukti narrowed her eyes, shaking her head. "You're insane."

"And you're the one who followed me over the gate," Nandini pointed out, laughing.

Mukti smirked, pulling her hair into a quick ponytail. "Well, we made it in, didn't we?"

"Barely," Nandini added with a chuckle, stretching lazily on the bed. "I've always got the best plans."

"More like reckless plans," Mukti muttered, grabbing her schoolbag. "We'd better hurry or we'll have to climb the gate again today."

"Oh, I'm always up for a second round," Nandini said, hopping off the bed with a grin.

"Yeah, you go first," Mukti shot back, laughing.

They rushed out of the room, but as usual, their chaotic energy got the best of them. In their rush to get to their rooms and finish getting ready, they both smacked into their door frames at the same time.

"Ow!" Nandini groaned, rubbing her forehead.

"Seriously?" Mukti muttered, shaking her head at the ridiculousness of it all.

"I'm fine!" Nandini announced dramatically, then burst into laughter.

Mukti joined in, and they both stood there laughing like idiots, holding their foreheads.

Once they calmed down, Mukti gave Nandini a playful shove. "You're a disaster, you know that?"

"Hey, we make a great team," Nandini shot back. "You're just the more responsible one."

Mukti raised an eyebrow. "And yet, somehow I always end up in these messes because of you."

Nandini grinned, unrepentant. "That's because life is more fun with me around."

Mukti rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. "Alright, but seriously, hurry up. I'm not jumping that gate again."

"Challenge accepted," Nandini replied with a mischievous grin as she darted to her room.

Just then, the Minion alarm blared again:

Ba ba ba ba ba na na... ba ba ba na na na bananaaa (Minion song)
Potato nah bananhhh... 7:45!

Both sisters sprang into action, scrambling to get ready before another crazy morning ensued. Even as they hurried, they exchanged knowing looks, the laughter from earlier still hanging in the air.
