Just a dream

Kendall's POV
"Hey do you know where Luke is?" I ask Calum "Check the bus" he replies, I bid him a quick 'thank you' then make my way in the direction of where the bus is parked. Standing at them door to the bus makes everything feel so much more real, my hand begin to get warm and soon felt like sweat was dripping off of my fingertips not to mention how my head and heart feels like it's going to explode.

Knowing if I stand outside of the bus for any longer I'll psych myself out and never end up telling Luke about our baby.

Forcing myself to open the door to the bus, I step inside and there Luke was. Sitting on the couch with his hair pulled back by a hat with his guitar sat in his lap. My ears filled with sound of his soft voice singing to the music that came for the instrument in his hands.

I observe Luke closely, watching as his fingers slowly strums across the strings of his guitar, how his eyes flutter shut when he sings. I take this moment in and lock it up and store it in the back of my mind.

Luke still not noticing my presence yet, I clear my throat to get his attention. Almost instantly the strumming stops and Luke springs his head up to meet his gaze with mine. A smile plays across his face "Hey baby, come over here" he says patting the seat next to him.  I timidly walk over to him and curl up into his side.  "What's up" Luke asks genuinely wondering. I debate getting straight to the point but I decide against it. "Mmm, nothing really. I was just bored and I missed you."
"I missed you to, I feel like I haven't spent time with you in forever," he exhales "what's been going on in your brain little one?" Like says in a caring tone.

"I'm pregnant" I blurt out slapping my hand onto my mouth. "W-what" Luke asks in shock.
"I-I'm pregnant... 3 weeks along.." I manage to say without my voice cracking. I could have sworn I watched his eyes grow darker in colour. I watched him closer waiting for a response but all I could see was his anger bubble inside him.

I pulled out the ultrasound picture from my back pocket and slipped it into his hands; in hopes to make the disruption better.

"What the fuck" he said under his breath. "I'm
Not ready for this. You're going to get an abortion right?" He asked with hopeful eyes. "N-no, I would never do that!"
"Kendall do you not understand what this means. This could ruin my entire career which if you didn't know is just beginning. Do you really think I'll have time to care for a baby!? I barley have time for you!" He explodes with anger, I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. I was hoping his reaction was reasonable enough to work out a plan for the two of us. I guess not. Tears are now streaming down my face, I no longer had the voice to try and work things out with him.   "You don't mean that" I say quietly through my tears. "Fuck Kendall.."
"I can't deal with this right now" he shouts "J-just leave."

The flood gates have been opened, I was crying uncontrollably.  I get up to leave but as I close the door I say "I love you, Luke". Where am I supposed to go, he doesn't want me here anymore, I hear some shouting come from the bus.
"Kenny!"
"Kendall- wake up"
My eye shoot open into a dark room where Luke was shaking me awake.  My breathing heaving "Hey, you okay?" He says in a soft voice "you were crying in your sleep."
I bring my hand up to my face where I wipe away the tears I didn't know had I shed. "Yeah- yeah, I'm fine. Just a bad dream" I reassured him.  "C-can you just hold me... until I fall asleep?" I asked "I'll hold you as long as you need me to." He said while wrapping his one arm around my waist. Kissing me goodnight.
The dream felt so real.

It was just a dream, but it could very well be a reality I don't want to face.
