Emily's POV
I'm in the library re-reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone" for what? Maybe the hundredth time?
That is until I heard a thud on my desk. I look up to find my bestfriend Sophie, with the angriest expression I've seen since she found out about her so called "boyfriend" cheated on her last summer.
"Guess what i found out about!" she whispered-screamed.
"What?"
"Well supposedly theres a book that rates us girls, ON OUR LOOKS!!!" she says "Its even rated on if we are worth dating!"
"Really?" I answer quite interested.
"Yes! It was supposedly made by the seniors two years ago, and since then it's been a tradition!" She replied.
"Hmm... Can I see it? It seems.... intriguing."
I say, raising up a eyebrow."I don't know... It's pretty harsh. But sure I just got it from Rachel."
Let me clarify, Rachel is my other best-friend. We've been the Three Musketeers ever since the fifth grade basically... Well, ever since I gave them my chocolate cookies during lunch anyways.
But out of the three of us, I'll have to say that Rachel and Sophie are the prettier ones. With styling hairdos ,sparkly jewelry, and the latest fashion trends.
Then there's me... socially awkward, nerdy, boyish me.
Moving on, Sophie hands me the book.
It's a normal red journal, with a title saying "Hot or Not: 2015-2016"
Real clever boys, real clever.
I open to see girl names starting with A to Z.
Amanda to Zara. Caroline to Stevie. Danielle to Tiffany.I flip through a few pages, until I found mine.
Labeled Emily Anderson 1-10.I looked lower, and saw my rating as a 0.
Dating wise? Also a big, fat, stinking zero!I continued to scroll down the page to see who graciously rated me.
Charter... my next door neighbor... My overall crush... The one I trusted the most...
But now? Can he really be trusted to tell the truth about this? About rating me? For not telling me? For breaking my heart?
