When we got in the hospital we went strait to the front desk.

"Where is Chloe Vineheart staying."

"Room 124, on the second floor."

"Thank you."

We were practically running down the hallways. Room 119... 120... 121... 122... 123... 124 finally. Chloe's father opened the door. He walked in. I followed and so did my dad.

Her mother was sitting in a chair right beside her crying.

"Is she ok?" her father asked.

"She's... (sniff) still in a coma. Who are they?"

"This is Eric and his father."

Me and my dad waved.

"Your Chloe's boyfriend aren't you?"

"Actually, Chloe just broke up with me tonight."

"What?!?"

"Ya it's a long story." Why do people keep talking about that?

"Okay well it's nice to finally meet you."

"Ya you to."

"So how long do they think she will be like this." my dad asked.

"They said about a week."

"Oh."

"How did this even happen, she went over to your house for dinner and on the way home she just crashed?"

I started to tear up a bit. I knew it was my fault.

"Its actually all my fault."

"What do you mean. You weren't in the van were you?"

"No but I was the one who sent her the text and she looked at it and not at the road. I shouldn't have sent it."

"What did you text her."

"Well she broke up with me and then left. I felt so heartbroken and felt the need to tell her how I felt so I sent her a text saying 'I love you.' It's my fault she crashed."

I sat down in a chair and started to cry harder.

"Oh please don't cry, it doesn't matter ok. This wasn't your fault at all."

"Yes it was." I say sobbing a bit.

"Look I'm sure she will be ok."

"I (sniff) hope... (sniff) so."

I couldn't keep it in and left the room. In the hall I started balling again so I went into the bathroom. The sound echoed a bit and kinda hurt my ears. I locked the door and cried.

Eric's Dads POV

"He must have really loved my daughter."

"Ya, he does because I have never seen him cry at all." Never.

"Really?"

"Ya and for him to cry this much isn't like him."

"The way Chloe always talked about him made him seem like this muscular tough guy that could lift a car and was handsome at the same time, she said that he was romantic and a lot of other stuff to."

"Ya, Eric is pretty strong but you've got to be to be a quarterback."

"I wonder why they broke up?" Oh no.

"Actually that was my fault." It really was.

"What?!?"

"Well I hope you understand and don't think that Eric is a bad kid or anything like that."
