We are prisoners to our minds

Some we love

Some we hate

Some make us tear our eyes out

Some kills us

Inside

And out

We are prisoners to our mind

They keep us locked into

Darkness and Pain

Both are so known

They're like close friends

That kill us

Yet are still with them

Our minds are keeping us prisoners

No one can help

From our own minds

Unless we find the light

The way out

We are prisoners

There's nothing we can do

It's tearing us apart

Some have fallen to it

I can see what was once there

It's gone

Their gone

But we still move on

Like soldiers in an army

We know their gone

But there's nothing left

But to keep on forward

For what the rest wanted

What they could not achieve

We move forward for them

Until the light is shown

And once it is

They will become proud of us

But

We still don't see the light

This prisoner

Is too deep

Too dark

Too painful

Some of us just can't be saved

Some don't want it

They like the prison

They find it comforting

Bathing into warm blood of themselves

We can do nothing

But move forward

We

Are prisoners to our minds
