Scar walked down the halls. She had been tested on again. She wasn't sure if it was a blessing or a curse.
The scientists were leaving for awhile and had given her the code to unlock the cells, so she began walking through the rows of cells, listening for noises and unlocking them, telling them the code and moving onto another one. Then again, she only was supposed to unlock her squad's cells - a mismatched group of random people they had assigned together to help each other survive when they had to leave.
She walked up to a particular cell, one with the stats and files clearly visible on a small screen, as they all had on each cell, heels clicking on the sterile, sickeningly clean floors, viewing the cell. It was one that was spliced. Bel.
The lights were almost always off in Bel's cell (because she was cold blooded and heat would make her happy and they couldn't have that, now could they?) and, as light flooded the room, she saw the snake girl stir, before standing. She was pale, obviously cold, freezing even.
She gave her the code and moved onto the next cell, viewing those stats. Sometimes, if you didn't read the stats, you'd get a particularly violent one. Fortunately, this wasn't one of those times.

The lights in this cage were already on, giving Scar the ability to see the red headed 14 year old girl that could turn into any animal, clearly. She gave the code, and a smile, and moved onto the next cell.
She unlocked it, typing the code into the machine. The light was intense in the room, painful to Scar's heightened eyes. She could only imagine the pain for the girl, Rei, who was apparently spliced with a bat, according to her stats. The scientists would do anything to give them pain.
She smiled sympathetically, dimming the lights, giving the code and moving onto the last one she was required to open. Sapphire.
Scar unlocked the cell and peered in at the 16 year old girl. She didn't have to turn the light on, seeing as the girl could control light.
She gave the code and walked out into the center of the hall, awaiting her section's presence.
They had much to talk about if they were going to make it through this time.
