The Blue Shroud

Percy POV
As soon as we arrived, I ran for my everloving life. I only got about 2 feet before Artemis caught me by the back of my shirt. I somehow wound up on my stomach after flipping over. I slowly rolled over to see an angry Artemis next to a smiling Piper.

I turned to Piper saying,"Can you make my shroud the same color as my eyes, Beauty Queen?"

Apparently that was just the thing to say as Artemis bust out laughing, then started laughing so hard I saw tears starting to form.

"Umm..." I said nervously," why are you crying, Artemis?" The only reason I said this was because I didn't even say anything all that funny. I was just telling Piper that I wanted my shroud for the recreation of my failed funeral to be the color of my eyes.

"You sure I was going to make it baby blue." At this point, Artemis was rolling around laughing. It's a good thing it was about midnight. The only reason Piper was still awake was I had asked her to meet me here after the breakup. She was the first person that I felt I could go to in the mythical world and cry on their shoulder. (A/N He hasn't told her about Jason.)

Sadly now Artemis is here but seeing Piper reminded me of why I was here. Now I was tearing up and held my arms out for someone. What I didn't expect was to smell the forest rather than Chanel 5. The only reason that I would recognize that is that the the Stolls and I soaked all of the Ares cabins' clothes in it. Honestly I didn't care I just gripped Artemis and cried on her shoulder. Piper had walked around me and hugged me as well. I turned so I was hugging them both.

After a few minutes of crying I pulled away from Artemis but still hung on to Piper. I just felt like she would be best if I broke down again rather than the man hating goddess. Piper and I walked to the fifth cohort barracks. When we got to my room I laid down, but as Piper was walking out the door I called out," Can you stay with me? I just need someone here right now, and the only people that are awake at the moment are you and Arty. And I don't think Artemis would want to sleep with me."

"Um Percy. Think about what you just said and then run for your life."

"Why?" Looking worried I said,"She's right behind me isn't she?"

"Yep. Nice knowing you."

Turning around slowly, I said to a pissed off Artemis," Its not what you think we just sometimes share a bed if the Blondes aren't around because we both need someone to comfort us. Don't worry. Nothing has happened, and nothing will happen."

"Um what about that time when I woke up -"

"I thought we agreed to never speak of that again. "

Angry, Artemis asked," What is she talking about, Perseus? You just said nothing has ever happened between you two."

"She once was sleeping next to me and I accidentally pulled her closer to me. I then accidentally cuddled her."

"So?"

"When I woke up I was hard. And it was pressed up against her front." At this Artemis was shaking in anger.

"You took advantage of a sleeping maiden!"

"Hell no! She is practically my little sister that I can got to about almost anything! I will never do anything that will ruin our relationship."

"Well hurry up and tell her why we're here."

"Oh ya." Percy turned to Piper sadly." You may want to sit down."

"Percy your scaring me. What was Artemis talking about?"

"It's about Jason."

"Please don't say he's dead"

"He's not but he did cheat on you with Annabitch."

"W-when?"Piper said starting to cry. I quickly wrapped her in a hug.

"I found out a few hours ago. I'm sorry I didn't come right away but I was with Hestia after I almost killed them. I'm pretty sure I even saw Thanatos there. When I got to Hestia's palace, Artemis walked in gave me a hug and I cried myself to sleep in her arms. Then we talked and came here."

"What should we do? I mean we both just lost the loves of our lives to the others."

"I honestly don't know. Maybe you could join the hunt. I know your still a maiden since Jasson has been at Camp Half-Blood since the end of the war. So when Artemis gets back we'll go to the Hunt. I'll talk to Thalia and you can say your pledge to Artemis. Then I'll ask Artemis if she needs any help if so I'll stay here,if not I'll go stay with my dad."

"Ok. Let's go see Artemis."
