Benjamins POV
I made my way to the hospital. I walked up to the automatic doors and waited for them to open. After they did, I made my way to her mom's room. I walked into the room and saw that she wasn't in there. I made my way to the receptionist's desk.
"Hi, How can I help you?" she asked in a happy voice.
"Yeah hi-erm, Im looking for the patient that was in room 4c."
"May, I ask your relation to this patient?" she said looking at me.
"Um, well, I am her daughters friend"
She looked at me directly, like she was trying to tell if I was lying or not.
After what felt like forever, she clicked on her keyboard, looking at the screen.
"Ah" she said at last
"Morgan Irving, she was discharged yesterday".
She looked up at me.
Where was she?
"Um- What time did she leave" I finally said
"Around 4:30"
"Thank you" I said not knowing what else to say
I turned around and started to make my way to the door, when I heard an ear splitting scream. I turned around to see a tall hooded figure holding a knife in front of the receptionist's desk.
The receptionist wasn't there. It was like she just vanished. The figure looked at me and started to charge.
I couldn't move.
I was paralyzed by fear, and all I could do was stand there and watch him make his way towards me."Where is Morgan!?" He yelled
" I-um- don't know" I stammered out of my mouth.
Right after those words left my mouth his fist connected with my chin and suddenly I was on the floor.
There was this gut wrenching pain in my chin."Stop lying!" He yelled.
"Im- not" I said still in shock from the hit.
Before I could say anything else, his foot shot to my ribs, knocking the air out of me.
I gasped, trying to breathe but instead I coughed out blood. I tried to get a breathe until finally I got a sliver of air into my body. I looked around trying to see if anyone was there to help me.
Everyone was gone. Before I could even get up he pulled my body up.
He looked at me and all I could see was bloodlust in his dark grey eyes.
He slammed me down to the ground. And walked away.
Leaving me in the room, struggling to get a breath.

James POVAfter what felt like forever he returned. He had bloodstains on his shirt and it looked fresh.
"So it turns it your mom was discharged and left without a trace" He said frustrated.
I couldn't help but smile.She got out. She's free.
"What's so funny?" He said aiming closer to me.
I didn't respond. There was no right answer.
He stayed there for what felt like forever. Then he moved and walked over.
"I need your mom, for us to have a perfect family."
I couldn't keep quiet anymore. My jaw clenched. He had the audacity to mention the perfect family. We had the perfect family- until he ruined it.
"Don't talk about the perfect family. We had the perfect family until you ruined it." I spat at him- staring daggers into him.
Without hesitation he reached over and smacked me. The stinging sensation lasted for a little then got overpowered by a burning one.
Tears threatened to fall, filled to the brim of my eye. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction. I held back those tears.
Once he realized that I wasn't going to budge he left, defeated.
I smiled triumphantly ignoring the burning sensation on my face.
How much more of this can I take?
