(A/N): Ok so I suck at updating, but I promise I'll try to update more in 2018! [also not proofread]

Heath's POV

Out of anger and frustration I threw my phone into my wall. Some of the paint of it chipped, showing white. I ran my fingers through my hair, sighing. I just don't get it, why does Jane need to stay with him. She shouldn't feel threatened by her own father. I would protect her, I always have- granted it is kind of my fault she got taken in the first place but that's besides the point.

Millions of thoughts and questions ambushed my brain- all wanting attention at once. But one was persistent, banging the walls of my head- demanding attention.

"What was I going to do next?"

I couldn't go to anyone with this, hell I couldn't even grasp the idea myself. I had to come up with a plan and come up with one fast.

Sighing with discontent, I walked over and picked my phone, which now boasted a shattered screen. Slowly, I ran my fingers over the spiderwebs of cracks, tracing the pattern of shattered glass. Turning it on, I sat back down onto my bed.

Opening the "Find My Friends"app again, I went over to Jane's profile. The words "Location not available" was displayed under her name.

However, this time the option to view her last known location was available. In a matter of seconds, Jane's previous location was displayed on the screen. It was fairly close to the coffee shop we went to before, "The Roasted Bean Cafe".

I smiled to myself. I have a plan.

I pulled off my pajamas and replaced them with a pair of ripped black jeans, a white v-neck, and a black bomber jacket. After pulling on my converse, I walked out my door, into the damp night.

The gravel crunched under my feet as I walked, keeping my pace fairly moderate. The air blew gently through my hair, sending slight goosebumps down the sides of my face.

The doors to the hospital opened, as I walked toward them. My pace slowed as I entered the building. The hospital was desolate, and covered in blood stains. What the hell happened in here?

I walked towards the receptionist desk and dry blood everywhere, on the floor and over the computer. Wincing, I walked around the desk and into the corridor.

The lights were flickering, with moths and dust dancing around them. The floor was covered in a thin layer of dirt that feathered away with every step. As I turned the corner, the voices got closer.

I approached the room, the voices getting louder. I peered through the door way to see a girl with the bluest eyes talking to a man with short messy brown hair. They both turned to me, wearing equal expression of fear.

"W-who are you?" the girl asked me, her voice quivering with terror.

"My name is Heath, I was checking up on my friend when I saw this. What happened here?"

" I don't know I was visiting on my grandma when I saw him on the floor, barely alive" She pointed at the figure in the hospital bed.
