"You and me, this...whatever this is...It's over. It's done." Lindy's harsh words echoed in Tommy's head as he drives home that night. He can still see the hurt that reflected in her eyes as she spat the words at him. His hands tighten on the wheel of the car as the ball of anger he holds for himself grows bigger. Tommy knew he should've told her. He was going to tell her. But now that he hadn't...now he lived with the image of Lindy's heartbroken eyes burned in his mind. His grip tightens on the steering wheel even more; his knuckles are now turning white.

Tommy was going to tell her. He was, but there was never a right time. Then again, time was a tricky character. While people were busy making plans, time moved on. Being cold and taking, but at the same time be warm and giving. Like with Ben, Tommy was sure that if his friend had waited to see if it was trick he wouldn't be dead right now. Or if the killer had waited another five minutes, Tommy could've been there to help him or save him. But time had decided to be merciless, in the end taking his best friend.

Truth be told, Tommy didn't know if should feel guilty for what he was feeling for Lindy, especially when he wasn't even sure what he was feeling was in fact actually love. He'd never been in a relationship long enough to actually say the l-word. Well, except for Boris. But he was sure that being in love and loving a pet were two completely different types of feelings all together. He sighs, turning on his blinker and turning onto the road that would lead him to Lindy's apartment building. Even if she wouldn't forgive him right away, Tommy still had to make this right. Or at least try to...

"So," Sophia opens the door, before shutting it. "Did anything interesting happen today?"

Lindy doesn't look up at her best friend. Although Sophia asks, the brunette knows when her best friend uses that tone in her voice she already knows that something did happen. Lindy risks a glance up at Sophia from where she's sitting on the couch with her laptop. She's wearing a knowing look, with her arms folded over her chest. Lindy sighs, her breath elevating her bangs momentarily.

"Tommy and I had a fight," she tells Sophia, before explaining what had happened.

"Lindy," her best friend drops to the couch beside her, "You not just mad that he didn't tell you, are you? I mean you're mad about that. But that's not all of it."

Lindy sighs, because Sophia is right. But the brunette doesn't want to admit it. But when she looks up, Sophia is looking at her with that knowing look again.

"No. No I'm not just upset about him not telling me." She says reluctantly, with a shake of her head.

"Tommy...He wasn't supposed to be a disappointment. He was the one person, besides you who wasn't supposed to let me down. He...He was supposed to be safe. The one person who was supposed to be my constant in this whole..." She pauses, trying to find the right word, but she can't. "I don't even know what to call this anymore. The point he was supposed to be on my team-my partner in some weird way and partners...partners don't lie or keep things from the other person!"
