Chapter 5

Mo'Niece's Pov
1 week later

It is currently 3 p.m. and my family will be here in 2 hours, I already cleaned the house, and I started on dinner, Daniel was at work and wouldn't be home until around 5:30 and yes, my family will be staying here with us, we have the room and they have stayed with me every time they came previously, so why would it be any different now?

These last few weeks despite how I felt in the beginning about Daniel, and how he treated me, he's been there for me and going to all the doctors appointments, and talking to my belly and just being a great man, so we're in the beginning stages of a couple, but I believe we will make it, I'm a little excited but I'm not sure how my family will take it *remember when he said we're getting married for the baby? Well he proposed 4 days ago* He's actually starting to grow on me, I think I just might love him.

Dinner was now ready and I was waiting for the arrival of my family, I had made fried chicken, baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, greens, sweet potatoes(yams), Cole slaw, baked beans and a pineapple upside down cake with peach cobbler, yeah I went all out for my family and it isn't even thanksgiving yet. 😊

The doorbell rung and I made sure I looked decent and went to open the door, all of my family gave me hugs one at a time and came on in, I smiled and said "follow me, and I will take you all to your rooms, since this house is new to you guys" and they all said okay and I led them to different parts of the house to their rooms that they would be staying in, while they were freshening up, I got all the food and sat it on the dining room table and sat the desert on the counter in the kitchen and waited for everyone to come back down stairs.

(Her 2nd born older sister Faye and her husband Tony)

(Nieces and nephews, Joshuas parents are Andre and Sammy, Harmony's parents are Faye and Tony and the twins parents are Michael and Shay)

They all came down the stairs and as they were coming, the doorbell went off and they all went to the door like it was for them and I said "open the door and I cut you all 😁, go sit at the table please" I said very high pitched and as nice as I could. Everyone went to go sit except Michael, he looked at me up and down and scrunched his eyebrows together, then he looked at my hand and I hid it behind my back and Michael said "Mo, please don't tell me your engaged and we didn't know, and when was you gone tell me you were pregnant, I'm your big brother, the one you always talk to, whats going on?" He said and then I said "look Michael, life happens, and this is the choice I made, now I'm going to introduce him to you all and explain everything to everyone, please go sit at the table" he looked pissed, but nodded and walked off.

I opened the door and Daniel came in "what took you so long to open the door babe? I mean I did ring it like you asked but you took forever to open the door" I kissed him and smiled "I was talking to my brother" oh their here? "Yepp, and I'm going to introduce you, like now."
I drug him to the dining room and everyone looked my way and I said "Everyone! This is my fiance Daniel, Daniel this is my dad Julian, and my mother Cathy, my brothers Michael, and Andre, my sister Faye and their spouses Tony, Sammy, and Shay and those cuties right there are my nieces and nephew Harmony, Joshua, Nevaeh, and Heaven.  He went around and shook my father, and brothers hands. My mom gave him a hug and so did everyone else and we sat down and my dad said grace then we dug in..
Mo's dad (Md)- Mo, you still cook the same, these greens are good.
Mo's mom(Mm)- Yep. they almost as good as mine.
Mo- Well, thank y'all! I did learn from the best.
MD- So Daniel, what is it that you do?
Daniel- I am the president and Co-owner of Elegance Magazine
Mm- Oh, thats where Mo works, and I assume you all met there?
Daniel- Yes ma'am
Michael- so when did y'all get engaged?.. Considering the fact that I've heard nothing about you.
Mm- Michael!
Andre- No mama, let the man speak because I quite frankly ain't heard shit about him either.
Faye- mmhm
Mo- Really? This is whats been bothering y'all? Babies go upstairs while we talk okay?
Nevaeh- Okay.                                           

I waited for them all to go upstairs, at this point I'm pissed off, and my dad says nothing he just nods his head, okay then I got ya'll.

Mo- The reason y'all know nothing about him is because I decided to keep it a secret because I knew how y'all would act but you know what, I'm going to lay it all on table, we met about 2 months ago when he took over for his father, we had sex in his car and I became pregnant, I was scared for dear life and worried about what y'all would think, but hell I don't give a fuck now! He didn't want to have a child out of wedlock so he said that it would be best for us to get married and now we're engaged, I am actually starting to fall for him, hes a good man and he took on all my bills with a fight, because I wouldn't let him and then he turned around and bought us this house to share  because he wanted to experience the whole life of pregnancy with me and he goes to all the appointments, so here I am trying to introduce a well put together man to my family, whom I think y'all might like and you criticize or judge him from get-go when you don't even know whats going on! Now y'all know why I left! I needed to get away from all the bullshit y'all cause! Damn!

I got up, and went upstairs and slammed my room door, fuck this and fuck them!
