Hey everyone it's cweymer, and I wanted to write a chapter for this story, so Stephanie has graciously allowed me too. I hope you all enjoy it, and if not, I am sorry.

Dequan was puzzled. Pooh had been acting rather strange. He figured that maybe he was just tired, or something of the sort, but after several weeks of the behavior, he decided to intervene.

Pooh, on the other hand, felt ill. Not in the sneezing and coughing way, but the kind of ill that makes your gut twist, and your heart wrench. He didn't want to, but he knew he had to leave. He needed to see his family, and even if that required leaving Dequan, he knew he had to.

There was a good chance that Dequan would forget about him the moment that he left. Interdimensional travel seemed to work that way. His brain would not be able to comprehend the disappearance, and default to just forgetting.

It pained him to think that all of the years that they spent together would be gone forever, but he probably would forget about Dequan in time. He didn't want to, but it wasn't really his choice. He had to see his family.

The moment he received the message that his parents were in danger, he began planning his departure. He would leave when Dequan did his daily treck to the woods to pick berries. Once Dequan had been gone for ten minutes, he would know that he would be gone for the next few hours. He would open the portal in his bedroom, and instantly be gone.

It was a simple, easy, and efficient plan. Nothing could go wrong.

The morning his plan was set to take place, Pooh was a little shaky. Although he knew his plan was impenetrable, he was still concerned.

Dequan still seemed his standard lackadaisical manner over breakfast, and stayed that way throughout the morning, until he left.

He reached for his basket underneath his bed, crawled back up, and brushed himself off. He then headed over to the coatrack, and grabbed a coat, before bading Pooh farewell.

"Goodbye my friend, " Pooh stuttered.

Dequan, seemingly oblivious to his slight stutter, said, "Goodbye Pooh!"

He headed out the door into the sunshine, skipping along the path. He didn't have a care in the world. By then he had forgotten about Pooh's strange demeanor.

Pooh watched as Dequan left. In that moment he knew Dequan would be okay without him. He wasn't necessary to Dequan's happiness. He was just...there. A filler person that would soon be gone.

Pooh began to feel impatient. He didn't want to wait any longer to leave, as his thoughts were drowning him.

He ran into his bedroom, reached behind the curtain, and grabbed the special blade. he then muttered a few incantations and moved the blade in a vertical line. A wooooooooooshing sound filled the bedroom along with wind whipping around the portal.

He had just opened the portal, when he heard the front door squeak on it's hinges. Hurriedly he grabbed his few items he was bringing and put one foot through the portal.

Dequan had forgotten his picking gloves in his bedroom, so as he headed into his room to grab them, he heard a strange noise coming from Pooh's room. He knocked on the door, and heard a terribly loud whooshing sound that he wasn't sure how he didn't notice before.

He glanced up just as Pooh was about to step through the portal completely. Pooh noticed him and uttered a final phrase to him, "How lucky am I to have someone who makes saying goodbye so hard."

In a flash of light he was gone, and Dequan was alone. He was sad, although he wasn't quite sure why.
